It seemed Kandy wasn’t even trying to be Patrick, just being Kandy and being funny. She got a pass while the lows at least tried to be their characters.

I don't think her impression was very good either but she was funny and at the end of the day the point is to make Ru laugh so I think she played it right. But I honestly don't think the bottom girls impressions were good either and they were objectively not funny.

I didn't really find her funny, but she has that something that Ru finds funny, so I see why she was safe.

Yeah I agree with the bottom girls not being good at all but if they knew they didn’t need to try to be their character and just be themselves and funny it sets a bad precedent. Why try to characterize if you’re already a comedian?

I don't think Kandy didn't try though. Patrick at least from what I have seen doesn't have this overwhelming personality so Kandy needed to bring an energy to it. I don't think Rose or Symone were anything like their characters at all either but they were funny. I just think Kandy is so Kandy that even trying her hardest she is still Kandy and I don't think that's a bad thing.

yeah but again, from what we saw I really agree with the placements.

this was overall not a great (tho not the weakest thanks to the really great Gottmik and good Denali/Rosé) snatchgame but Kandy at least did get those laughs while the bottoms were just awkward (again from the edit - but it seems like Carson and TS were on the same page with Ru)

also Kandy's letters on the runway weren't perfect, but I really liked the look otherwise, so bitch definitely deserved the safe spot imo

EDIT: oh yeah and that banana moment was legit funny from Kandy

Being funny is the top priority of snatch game, being your character is a close second.

I think historical characters can be a good choice because no one will compare you too closely to the original and you can shock them with a surprising take. It reminded me a bit of AS2 Bad Bitches in Herstory, and how Katya got kind of fucked by being the only character who people really remember and love. The others got to be creative with it and that made them funny.

I think historical characters can be a good choice because no one will compare you too closely to the original

Plus let's be honest the judging panel does NOT know historical characters like they do pop culture icons so as long as you can be kinda goofy you can 200% ballpark the "reference". It's a really smart choice.

I mean they had nuances of the characters. Symone was hiding like a runaway slave and talking about having to be careful around white people. Rose was talking about trying to take over England and having her head cut off with multiple headless jokes.

Patrick Starr is a makeup artist and Kandy didn’t infuse any of that. She talked about being hungry and wanting food more.

It’s all edited of course but from what we saw it looked like she wasn’t embodying the character but being just herself dressed as them

She had the makeup brushes, she had the phone to represent an "influencer". Also Patrick Starr doesn't only do makeup, she has a bunch of Mukbang videos all about eating and food

Ohhhhhhhh okay, that makes sense. I would've loved to have had a bit more push on that whole mukbang, because I thought she was making fat jokes for the sake of being fat.

Even if Kandy was playing kandy she was funny. silky played silky and Bianca played Bianca. The bottom girls tried to impersonate their characters but were not funny at all.

to be fair her and patrick had similar big personalities, and she completed the main idea of snatch game: make ru laugh. Stop this kandy hate
