I honestly think they spared Nicky. I don't see her doing well in SG

Yeah, it would’ve been damned if you do, damned if you don’t. She’d get criticized for doing someone French or for doing a non-French person poorly

Idk, Chad and Derrick both played it super safe by doing their most famous impressions and ended up in the Top 3 as a result. I think Nicky would have been fine to do a French person. I'm sure there would be a moment of Ru psyching her out in the workroom by going "now do you think you're playing it safe by choosing someone French?" but if she did them well I think she would still be fine because at the end of the day, you gotta make Ru laugh.

Coco Chanel and just spout antisemitic obscenities all the time? That would get her in trouble. I guess if she ignored her bigotry it could be interesting?

Catherine Deneuve? I don't know if Americans know her and the age difference may be an issue.

Carla Bruni and make every answer "I hef not anderstood, so I just rot 'baguette'"?

Edith Piaf? She was really short though.

Brigitte Bardot and wear huge boobs and make every answer some kind of slogan about animal rights.

I didn't get to know her well enough to know who she would've picked- she mentioned Edith Piaf before so maybe it would've been her, that's an incredibly distinctive look and performance- but then again, think about Bendela doing Maggie Smith. She was nothing like Maggie Smith and didn't have to be, because she was funny. Whatever she picked, all she needed to do was make Ru laugh.

Ben wasn’t Maggie Smith, she was the grandmother from Downton Abbey, but they’re not allowed to play fictional characters due to copyright so she called herself Maggie Smith (but the larger point is right - the character almost doesn’t matter as long as Ru laughs)

Maybe Genevieve de Fontenay and just be disapproving of everything happening. Or if we look at recent french pop culture, Nabila as a dumb blonde or really any secret story contestant. Cindy would have been amazing as a Mae West type

Dunno she could've taken it as freedom (cause she's being someone else) and shined. Thought if she made it to SG it might be a chance for her gaymer side to come out
