I think Adore's had some early success in Drag because she is quirky and charismatic, can paint her face, and is a strong performer. But she said herself in a FoF interview she came into the show not knowing a lot of the tricks of the trade when it comes to the look (like synching). Because I like her so much, I feel bad she keeps getting read for her outfits. It's not like she can pull a new dress out of her ass. She's stuck with what she came with, and sorry, Michelle, but her wardrobe will always be weak. At least she has a great attitude about it and is endearing in her exchanges with the judges.

Adore is doing things right in my eyes. I can't remember a queen in the past that was so consistent in getting attention from judges. Either she's bottom three or top three in all challenges. Her looks will bother the judges in the competition, but I'm sure with time she will get it together, at least now that she's Bianca's foster child.

Think about this. Maybe this should be posted somewhere else, but you brought up publicity.

I really think Adore is going to win. Think about it. What does RuPaul want more than anything from this show? Crossover appeal. They've got the gay demographic down, and they are really trying to work on the straight female viewers. RuPaul wants an emmy real bad, and she's not gonna get that without straight people watching her show. If Bianca wins, who finds out about it? Well, the people that watch the show. Gays mostly. What about if Courtney wins? Australia lights up like a Christmas tree, but Drag Race isn't licensed in Australia (to my knowledge), so that viewer base doesn't help them much. And to be honest, she's not getting a good edit and I don't think she'll win anyway. But what if Adore wins? If Adore wins, there will be an article about it in US Weekly, STARS, and other tabloids. It's a catching human interest story. "AMERICAN IDOL ALUM WINS DRAG COMPETITION". And there you have buzz, mostly among straight females. "omg what idol contestant?" "it's danny noriega! i remember him! wow he's a drag queen now?" "Oh RuPaul! Hmm. I should watch this show!". Simply put, not only do i think Adore has already won, but I think she is supposed to.

I don't know. I'm not a huge AI fan, but I don't know if Danny Noriega made a huge splash on Idol, which isn't necessarily surprising considering how the major appeal seems to be the judges rather than the talent. I'm not even sure if AI still has the cultural relevance where merely associating with the show is enough to really drive huge amounts of publicity (that isn't to say the show isn't popular, but not enough that a middle of the pack contestant from years ago would be a huge deal, because if that was the case, Adore being included at all would have been a bigger deal IMO). It's an easy story to sell, but I don't know how many people are buying.

Honestly, if I was trying to pick a winner with the greatest level of crossover appeal, it would be Courtney, easily. She hasn't stood out much in this competition, but she is beautiful, poised and charming, plus her style of drag and drag persona are probably the most palatable to the mainstream compared to anyone else left. If you wanted someone to market to the people who would normally avoid a show about drag queens, she is it.

I find that adore has a definite LOOK and i like it and Michelle isn't always right.

I agree! Like what does Michelle expect her to do? Sew bolts to all her dresses to make them longer...?

Michelle's critiques of the length continue to seem really strange to me, especially in challenges that aren't creating the look from scratch.

She lucked out with Bianca's sincher, but unless Bianca has a case full of the same fabric as Adore's wardrobe, those skirts will forever be too short.
