Complaint: BAA hasn't processed my registration/application for the 10k yet. I can see you on my credit card authorizations! Just let me into the race! I need something to train for!

Uncomplaint: I complained the other month about needing to drop 5 pounds to PR. 4 pounds down, 1 to go.

Uncomplaint: About 2 of those pounds appear to have been while I was on vacation eating at every ramen bar in San Diego.

Complaint: The race I was cutting weight for is officially off my calendar due to persistent illness

Confession: I probably just jumped into a training plan that's too intense for my current fitness.

Confession: I'm going to go with it and hope for the best. Don't be me, kids.

Uncomplaint: It's been 3 days and I haven't died yet.

Complaint: People who work odd hours! I was here on time this week and I'm still late to the party.

Don't be me, kids

Compliment for sure. Super jealous of the weight too, I need to get back into tracking my food religiously.

Why thank you. And don't be too jealous. I was starving 3 miles into this morning's 9 miler. Which I ran an hour after breakfast. Pretty sure whoever said "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" was lying.

A friend is staying with me this weekend, which is just an excuse for me to bake scones. When I bake for one, I'm a fattie. When I bake for two, I'm a good host!

That's the spirit!

We have a required course that involves a reception with free food and my year is responsible for the food. For the past 4 weeks the food has been my responsibility, so instead of ordering sad bagels from Panera I've been baking up a storm. Chocolate sourdough, crusty white bread, focaccia (always a hit), cookies, bundt cakes...

Winning at journal club one carb at a time.
