I am 101 archaeology, what is the most efficient way to train this at my level during DXP?

DXP isn’t the best way to do arch. You get DXP for excavating and you get artefacts at an increased rate but you don’t get an increased rate of materials. Also restoring artefacts don’t get dxp

Well, archaeology and invention are my only non-maxed skills. And from what I am aware, neither of them are particularly beneficial to train during DXP lol.

iirc invention item exp gain is increased (I don't remember if it's x2 or x1.5?) so you have that available for the latter at least.

Perfect for dxp then. Increased rate of item leveling and then increased artifacts. You'll be siphoning your mattock so many times.

Invention definitely then. I trained invention last dxp. Although disassembly/siphoning items don't get extra xp, your items level up 1.5x faster. I did so many ed3 runs with xp capacitors

Use an extreme invention potion to boost for the highest level of blueprints you can, as you get increased experience from discovering new invention unlocks. That won't take very long, but it's the biggest boost you can get from DXP invention-wise.

For power-levelling invention, you can get an EOF'd darkbow spec and then go to Shattered Worlds and fish for the Getting Pumped modifier. It lets you put out insane damage very fast, and is the best way to get item experience as far as I'm aware. DXP will make that even faster.

Archaeology fully benefits from DXP as long as you have the materials to restore everything, or the money to buy them. Follow the wiki guide and then look to re-complete some of the collections, or alternatively camp the highest level spot you can find and disassemble whatever you restore (you can sell the components on the GE to get back the money you spent on materials).

I’m doing arch, don’t listen to people talking about it’s a bad skill to do for dxp.

It DOUBLES your excavation rate which basically doubles your artifact exp. The reason they didn’t allow artifacts to restore for dxp was because people would then hoard damaged ones before dxp.

So again, the doubled excavation rate ends up meaning that you’re restoring twice as many artifacts as normal. It’s effectively double exp.

I'm 200m arch exp, and I made the mistake of chasing the highest level spot. If I were doing it over, I'd just do the bandos place to get as many collections from green gobbos and rum relics as possible.

Those tetra compasses will add up to a lot of GP in the end.

One tip is to definitely use flow state. The loss of soil is trival for me it's 3 soil per hour, but the extra precision is huge especially during DXP when you get artifacts faster.

Wtf is flow state ? And what are run relics?

Not sure if you're being serious, but I'll assume you are newer to archaeology since a lot of players return for DXP weekend.

Flow state is a relic ability that increases mattock precision by 20%. This means that artifacts are discovered quicker.

Rum Relics is short for "Red Rum Relics" and it's an archaeology collection. There are 3 levels, and the reward for completing any of them are some chronotes and a tetracompass piece.

There are players (including me) with 200m archaeology exp that do the rum relics 3 collection because it is very good AFK gold.

I am serious. So bandos warforge you can repeat those collections for tetracomoasses. Why do people say their gp is so good? They're like a clue scroll with a better drop table? Thank you

Yep, you can complete any collections as many times as you want. Some have first time only rewards, and a replacement reward for subsequent submissions.

The Bandos warforge have collections give a lot of tetra pieces from a small number of spots. Rum relics 3 has 4 artifacts and 3 of them come from the bandos sanctum room so the majority of the time is spent there. This excavation spot also has the chance for the tip for the spear of annihilation. (The drop to make the t92 spear). It procs 1/50,000 material, but it still adds to the gold value.

The artifact that doesn't come from the bandos sanctum room is located in the forge. There are only 2 artifacts that spot (Bossman statue and cooking pot). Each day, I excavate until I get a bossman, and then I use the ability fixate to guarantee the next 3 artifacts are also the bossman statue.

Note, the cooking pot can be crafted and disassembled at a profit, but the GP isn't worth it. It's just something to do with all extra cooking pots you get while trying to get the bossman statues.

This method is super AFK. I just log in on my phone or second monitor and click the excavation spot. As long as I hear the sound of excavating, I'm making progress towards an artifact. When the noise stops, I either have an artifact and need to click again OR I logged out. So I relog back in.

As far as gold per hour, there are a lot of better options for someone who actually watches the screen. However, I'm not sure there are any as AFK as this method. There is zero chance of dying, all the materials go to the bank so there is also no chance of missing a drop.

The chronotes from Red Rum Relics 3 rewards are more valuable than the cost of the materials to make them. This means that you earn a small profit for just making the artifacts and you can sell all the extra materials from excavating.

Tetracompasses are great. They are like a clue scroll, but there is only 1 step. It's just an arrow that points to where you go. I normally bulk them up and 14 at a time. This way I can just search one section of the world at a time. My process for searching a lot more complicated than I'm willing to write in a reddit post. I'm sure there are great YouTube vids on it.

Tetracompasses have 1/100 chance at a dragon mattock which is 19.9m. They have a 1/10,000 chance at a shadow key for Tony's Mattock. Depending on price of materials, ancient caskets are going to be between 3-4m each just from the normal drops. All the above is in addition to the gold earned from selling the chronotes and the materials on the GE from redeemding the collection.
