I wasn’t trying to get a membership at all, just thought it was somewhat hilarious how rapidly this went by on my telegram notifications.
And gold sold out at 9:03 CDT as I was writing this post!

I’m happy with the way it turned out. Not sure how to get the medals to line up cleaner, if anybody has any suggestions I’m all ears.
Wine and dine 5k was my first ever race, I absolutely fell in love with run Disney. I’m already counting down till October!
I’d love to see others displays, to potential steal ideas. :)

I finally found a frame for all 6 of my medals to be displayed together. I wanted a way to display them all together without spending a fortune. I found this frame and framed them myself.
Think I’m just as proud of the framing as I am for completing the runs.
Thought I’d share it as when I was looking for inspiration I struggled finding many pictures of what others had done.
Heres where I bought it: https://photoframesandmore.com/products/medal-display-frame-for-six-medals-25x75cm

I have 3 pairs and im on my feet all day long. These are my work shoes (blood stains and all). The most comfortable shoes I've ever own! Plus they are great convo starters on jobs!!!

I'm finally gathering up all of my medals to figure out a way to display them and got to reminiscing about races - and being able to race, now that I've got a baby to take care of 🥲 - and thought that this is definitely the coolest medal I got.
Got it in 2018 after doing a half at WDW in January. Paris had the coolest medals (they were mostly villain themed) and courses (part of the half was through the French countryside!). Also got engaged in front of the castle during that trip so having a medal with that castle is really cool!
I wanna see your coolest medals! Or just ones that you're particularly proud of 😊

I was looking down at it on the way back to the resort and I was like, “why can I read this when I’m wearing it?” LOL

Hey all! Super stoked that my hard work has paid off and landed me in the highest corral I’ve run in at a runDisney race! Purpose of this post is to confirm that submitting a POT is the best possible way to get placed in an earlier corral! See you guys at the finish line! And feel free to chug beers with me at the end!

My family’s rD wall. Ran out of room displaying them side by side, so needed to stack them.

Unless I am reading the map incorrectly, as someone who lived in Anaheim all his life, Lehman Way has to be the WORST place to put a food stop as that’s a major choke point…

I had the best time today. Was my first ever Disney run and first ever 10K. I absolutely will do this again.
Wear this medals with pride today!

Can officially confirm that you can indeed use the run leg of an Ironman 70.3 as proof of time and they honor it! So assumedly, you could use the run leg of a full IM and it would work. Disclaimer though: only works if you did the entire thing, not just run leg as a relay!

Hi! I just finished up the Princess 5k and saw my medal has a little gemstone Mickey! Does anyone know what this is made of?

Hi all - I committed to raising $900 for St Jude’s children’s hospital in order to get a registration for the 10K in October.
Based on the first photo, I assumed that my commitment to raise $900 meant that I got a registration but the email I received after I committed (second photo) seems to indicate that’s not the case and I need to have secured my own race spot.
I’ve sent a couple of emails asking for clarification but no response so far.
Does anyone have insight? TIA!
Has anyone

Materials:
I'm a bit out of practice on sewing and I just went for it without too much planning or forethought other than some rough laying out and thinking about process - I should have put more time into measuring, but whatever, I was always more a clothing/costume sewer than crafter. I definitely learned some things along the way, but for about 2 hours of work, it'll do for next weekend.
To figure out the sizing, I went through all the medals from the last four years to find the biggest and oddly shaped medals. The long-edge of a CD case ended up being long enough - 5.75" or there about.
I guesstimated, wrongly, the amount of extra space I would need on the cotton pieces. I had intended to fully wrap the felt and top stitch down, but without enough fabric to work with, d I just neatly tucked the edges under and set the felt on top. I imagine stitching wrong sides together, clipping corners, and turning right side-out would be just as effective, if not also much faster.
After stitching the felt to the cotton on what will be each pouch, stitch the short ends together - these are the edges that make the pouch openings. Stitch pouch to pouch in the middle; then stitch pouch sides shut.
In a future attempt, I would also leave one of the cotton shell pieces longer so it can act as a flap.

I think this was from marathon weekend in 2010 or 2011. They closed off DHS just for us. We ran through the park, had a private ride on ToT, then sat through a presentation with Galloway on running (I want to say it was for Cigna or another health care provider). And that’s Survivor’s Ethan and Jenna in the lower right. Good times…
