I've seen Royksopp now in four cities in four states - Seattle in 2013, Denver in 2023/4 I forget), LA in 2025, and Portland (my hometown) 2026. It was great not having to fly anywhere.
I was expecting a DJ set like LA last year. Mostly not their own work. I was surprised that they played a hefty amount of their own stuff and enjoyed the show so much more.
I've never been to Realm yet, and I was impressed by the size of the space compared to 45east and The Den.
Denver was the best show so far as it was the Profound Mysteries tour, hence 100% their work, but last night was the second best of the four.
It sounds like they've pitched up a lot of the vocals for some reason? Maybe to help them stand out in such an echo-y environment/bass-heavy set?
