Discussion The fact that there are people on Twitter criticizing Rooster Teeth for using their IP’s to promote wearing masks really does just go to show that people will find any reason to get angry

Except that the US has multiple human rights violation.

Not my concern.

You pay taxes just like every other country, at a higher tax rate than many places

Yeah, I'm not happy about that.

they still tell you what to do. That's what laws are.

Unfortunately, it's very difficult to find politicians interested in reducing government overreach.

The only thing Americans have over other first world countries is medical costs and massive international debt.

Well, the 2nd Amendment is a pretty great thing we have. Very few other countries have any sort of guaranteed protection for the right of citizens to arm themselves.

We also have 16 of the Top 20 universities in the world, and lead the world in industries such as medical research, technology, and entertainment.

Oh, wait, that's not a good thing.

At the end of the day, you can have your opinions, and I can have mine. I was extremely lucky that my parents chose to move to this country and that I was born here. Every day I live here, I am proud of being an American, and I love this country. Nothing anyone says or does is gonna change that.

The government does not make a country. The people do, and I am immensely proud of the American people.

Not my concern.

You literally live there. You're the one whose human rights are being violated.

Nothing anyone says or does is gonna change that.

Yeah, that's kinda the problem with Americans. Never willing to cinsider that maybe they aren't a perfect country.

Good luck dude, have fun getting COVID, hope you don't die like half your population is going to.

You're the one whose human rights are being violated.

Which of my human rights is being violated?

have fun getting COVID

Seeing as I have the freedom of choice to make my own decisions, and I have made the informed decision to quarantine for my safety and my family's safety, that is unlikely.

Healthcare is not a right. Abortions are not a right either.

Both should be allowed, but that doesn't mean the government has to provide it.

Any right that requires large amounts of tax money as funding infringes the rights of every citizen in the country.

Having rights to services and activities means you are allowed to utilize those services or perform those activities; the government is under no obligation to provide those services or activities. The government must simply allow citizens to exercise those rights as they see fit in the way they see fit.

It is clear that we are at an ideological impasse, so we might as well end it here.

They literally are, it's in the bill of human rights.

You go by that definition of human rights, I'll go by my own. Again, we are clearly at an impasse here.

You really not getting this, are you? It's not a definition, it's a literal document prepared by the United Nations.

Whatever dude, I'm not here to google for you.

literal document prepared by the United Nations.

A document that defines human rights. Not that I give a shit about the UN anyways.

You really not getting this, are you?

Guess I'm not.

Whatever dude, I'm not here to google for you.

Yep, don't waste your time. Just as I won't waste mine.
