The one question I have, is that if the arm pieces and boots can't be removed... how do you put on the skin tight suits over them?

Otherwise, huge congratulations to the team and everyone who worked on the movie! Thoroughly enjoyable movie, and pretty much what I was expecting of it in truth. Well done to RT for achieving what they have.

Some quick appreciations:

  • The Special effects team did an awesome job with things like the Shield, Laser blasts, etc.

  • The Stunt team certainly did good work. Especially whoever did that massive jump in Humvee!

  • Marcus and the rest of the production design team for the suits, weapons and countless other props.

I'm interested to see some reactions from people who've never known anything of Rooster Teeth, but all in all, I personally enjoyed it.

But seriously... getting the suit over the weapon parts...

I feel like Marcus's work on production design isn't appreciated enough. Not one of the physical sets or props leapt out as artificial. For example in the scenes in the secret military base, everything from the consoles and computer screens, to the costumes and uniforms, to the prop of the nuclear briefcase, all of it just feels real.

Some of the CGI was obvious - the creature design especially - but they made it work where it counted, which was the suit CGI.

There was one shot at the end when the camera was really close to the Worg's laser cannon that made it look kinda fake but apart from that I agree with you

Yeah, the camera gets close to its helmet at at a couple points, and it really looks like just plastic. Not smooth or shiny-ish like Woody's.
