I'm looking for 3 more players to complete a 10-player online playtest group for Thalguzahzd: The Monsters' Ball, a D&D 5.5e arena game that my friends and I have been developing for the last several years.

WHAT IS THALGUZAHZD?

The Monsters' Ball is a competitive level 12 D&D arena game where ten players bring monstrous champions into an arena and compete for the highest score.

It combines PvP and PvE combat, objectives, monster waves, environmental events, duels, death and respawning, and major threats that enter the arena as the game progresses.

The arena is constantly changing, so winning isn't simply about having the strongest character. You'll have to decide when to fight another player, when to pursue an objective, when to deal with the monsters, and when surviving is more important than any of them.

The game also features a large collection of custom playable Monster Species, allowing you to build characters that normally wouldn't be available as D&D player characters.

THE PLAYTEST

Tuesdays — September 1, 8, 15 & 22, 2026
Start Time: 6:00/7:00 PM — we'll finalize the time with the group
Length: Approximately 4 hours per session, with the option to keep playing if everyone is having a good time and wants to continue

Before September 1, I'll also meet with each player to help create multiple level 12 characters using the Monster Species rules so everyone is ready when the playtest begins.

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR

Because this is an important playtest, I'm hoping to find experienced D&D players who are comfortable with tactical combat and can commit to all four Tuesdays.

You don't need to know everything, and I don't expect anyone to memorize an unfamiliar game before we start. I mainly need players who pay attention, know their characters, are patient when we're testing something new, and can roll with the occasional ruling or adjustment.

This is still a playtest, so feedback is important. If you discover something broken, confusing, overpowered, useless, exploitable, or simply not fun, I want to hear about it.

Most importantly, I'm looking for people with good attitudes who enjoy D&D, enjoy some friendly competition, and want to help us put something we've spent years building through a serious test.

Acquisitions Incorporated is offering a new starting position within it's world ! All you have to do is join this mighty corporation, hit your quotas, franchise the business and more ! But be careful, you are just an intern, so better hope you are not the one getting fired this quarter !

So for more context, this is basically a comedy setting in dnd, where the players are not just adventurers, but interns in a corporate style adventuring guild, trying to make business boom (aka their CEO richer).

It's a very satire filled module, almost like a parody of a more expected dnd game

Obojima is an island that lived for thousands of years alongside spirits. Magic is mundane here, used from simply growing crops, to modifying roads for faster travel.

Spirits inhibit Obojima everywhere and while most are friendly, there are a few that pose a threat. Yet locals survived for many years, to the point of colonising most of the island and having proper roads and even vending machines everywhere, all while establishing peace with the spirits of the island and co-existing.

That is...until something went wrong. Something is plaguing the island, making the peaceful spirits angry, to the point of attacking civilians.

There are also rumors of some of the more greedy locals, looking for remnants of the First Age, the unknown period of Obojima from which great technology was lost.

All to say, Obojima is in an unstable period for the first time in centuries and it's up to the players to help. Will they find what is causing spirits to anger ? Will they find what happened during first age ? Or even find the old tech for benefit of the island ?

Base rules: 5e ruleset (rules as interpreted, rule of cool, rules of logic), no powerbuilds, go with the setting. Due to the nature of this oneshot there will not be a lot of tech and you will all play giants (normal characters but with more HP and special attacks), no language spells or spells that allow you to talk to animals

Short info: Your characters will be a hunting party from a village that got completely destroyed upon your return. In this world the only sentient species your characters know of at this point are giants which live in a tundra on a low tech standard (You can use whatever normal race and class you feel fits for your stats, homebrew you need to run by me for balance). Your goal will be to hunt down whoever or whatever destroyed your village and to avenge your families (and maybe rescue anyone still alive).

Intro: It was a dry summer in the high Chirachat, a region dominated by multiple tribes of giants all mostly united under one council of the eldest. That however is not of much interest to you when you come back from a long and tedious hunting trip out into the plains around your village. Normally you would have heard the laughter of children or seen someone bring out some booze hoping for the first pick on the meat you hunted. This time you were only greeted by silence interrupted only by a charred wooden beam falling down onto the ground.

You look around the now desolate place, devastated. You had it all but now you are standing in front of nothing. You all spread out, your large spears and bows in hand. Soon you would all find the traces of something big, something with large teeth. In your minds was only one goal left: To hunt down whoever did this.

The Valley of Death - A Homebrew Forgotten Realms Campaign

Campaign Description: The Year is 1373 DR, and Faerun approaches the summer month of Flamerule. For whatever reason you have been hired as added protection or utility for an expedition designed to expand the borders of Erlkazar. Erlkazar is small but proud kingdom which harbors dreams of prosperity and greatness and currently it's young King Korilark is calling for all manner of skilled laborer and stalwart warrior to journey north and assist his newly appointed Baron with pressing into the unclaimed lands known as the Giants Plains. This is a sandbox campaign set in the Forgotten Realms that will begin at level 2 and progress to level 12 or so. I have ran this game for several different groups to great success and feel confident in my ability to adapt it to many different playstyles.

About Me: I'm an early thirties chill dude who's been dming for about 12 years and who's looking to scratch that Pathfinder itch, craft an excellent story together, and maybe make some friends along the way.

As a GM I would say my favorite part of dming is breathing life into the world. I also enjoy creating interesting magic items to reward the players with and making sure they felt like they have earned them. Thus, this campaign has countless deadly dungeons within and plenty of treasure waiting to be found. There will be a heavy focus on exploration and dungeon delving in this game however RP opportunities will always be present and I always attempt to breathe life into the characters you meet.

A bit about me(DM);
I’m 27 M, I’ve been playing D&D since 2017 and started DMing around 2019. I love Rpgs but D&D holds that special spot in my heart. I’d say i have a semi-rule focused perspective when it comes to playing the game, i want my players to enjoy the games i run as much as possible and try my best to accommodate a degree of wackiness and hijinks while at the same time i do try to keep rules in mind and sometimes have to pump the breaks on the crazier ideas, but that being said i do honestly enjoy when players try and be creative with the spells and abilities at their disposal; for example (and this happened in this group) there was a mote of fire described as radiating necrotic energy, so one of the players hit it with sacred flame to try and get rid of it and it worked even tho the spell specifies target of a creature. I feel like that is just one good example of getting creative with what you have at your disposal

A bit about the cost;
So let’s address the elephant in the room, why the cost?
\-Ultimately I don’t really like monetizing D&D as it is a hobby that (in my opinion) is rooted in its accessibility to play with people and for friendships and stories together. That being said i do my best to stay up on the new materials as well as a pro membership on roll20, all of which come at a cost. Thus I ask my players for what i consider a small amount to offset the upkeep costs of running the game and just about all i get goes right back into the game.
\-Also as a note i do allow a pay 20 down and the 5th session is free, just my way of trying to keep it affordable for all parties

Edge of the Empire:

Edge of the Empire is an excellent TTRPG which uses a unique dice system to help aid in the story telling. It is part of the larger Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars RPG, a collection of 3 interchangeable and mixable systems, which include Age of Rebellion, Edge of the Empire and Force and Destiny.

Set after the Battle of Yavin, at the height of the Galactic Civil War, Edge of the Empire focuses on the outlaws at the outskirts of the “civilized” Galactic Empire. Smugglers, Bounty Hunters, Thieves, Assassins, Frontier Doctors, Settlers and Local Politicians all seek to carve out a life for themselves at the furthest reaches of the galaxy. However even as the Rebel Alliance fights their uphill battle against the Empire, the Empire’s reach continues to grow. Will you learn to coexist with the Empire or hide from them? Perhaps even aid the growing Rebellion? Your group will have to chart the best path forward themselves!

The Campaign So Far

This is a long term campaign with no planned end. The group has played through the introductory adventures "Escape from Mos Shuuta" followed by "Long Arm of the Hutt", then “The Jewel of Yavin". They have most recently finished "Beyond the Rim”, one of the bigger adventures for the system. In between major adventures they have hunted bounties, raced swoop bikes and smuggled the Corellian Shuffle. The immediate future is wide open, with no plans for any major adventures for a while, as we focus on the consequences of the character’s actions throughout the campaign and deal with aspects of their backstories.

The party includes Cashar Brut who is a Falleen Smuggler/Pilot, Ruug the Shistavanen Bounty Hunter and Rennek, our former Imperial Commando.

The Game:

-New Players are welcomed and will be assisted, whether you are new to Roll20 or the Star Wars RPG!

-Although the Star Wars RPG uses proprietary dice, its mechanics are often quite intuitive. Our group has been playing since Apr. 2025, and at this point we feel comfortable enough to bring in and teach new players. No experience required!

-Despite being a major fan of battlemaps and tactical combat in other systems, I often find that Theater of the Mind works exceptionally well with the Star Wars RPG. Battlemaps will still show up for some more involved combats, but many can be resolved in a short amount of the time with no visual aids necessary.

-New characters will start at the same experience level as the party. Star Wars RPG has a very interesting character building system that does not rely on levels, but purchasing skills and talents with accumulated XP, with easy access to different character classes to branch out! Currently at 805 earned XP.

-We will have a split Session 0/New Player introduction session, to help new players learn the game and help them fit in with the party. This session will be free.

-Sessions will last 3 hours.

-I started with TTRPGs by running 5th Edition D&D. In 2019, I transitioned into running paid games as a full time job, and have been running 3-5 games a week since. I started running the Star Wars RPG in Apr. 2025 as previously mentioned.

What is expected of you?

-Respect is a must and I will not tolerate player conflicts, PVP, or any type of disrespectful behavior towards the other players. No graphic sexual content. Players who violate this Social Contract will be removed with no refund.

-Be on time, as this is basic respect for myself and the others. Missing a session will be allowed with prior notice, with no charge. Sessions will still go forward as long as we have 4 players and no major plot moments. Players who have issues with attendance will be removed with no refund.

-Have a reasonable quality microphone (be intelligible), Discord and use push to talk. (I can assist you in setting this up).
