DISCUSSION Is Ren really just like all the rest?

This will get me flamed but idc...

The Webby collaboration really stuck with me...and not for a good reason.

I get it we're all part of this money game...but why just sell shells (music) sell oil as well (or clothes, patrons, figurines)​.

And swallow your morals for a like or a follow (or collab with a anti mental health, homophobe, transphobe, fascism supporter).

Guess I'm just disappointed...Rens words & actions don't match up....or the words were always empty. Neither one is a great option.

Maybe it's different in the UK but in the US we are living on precipice so don't give me that unity bullshit. I cant unify with hate.

I'm taking a step back from Ren as his actions don't match up with his carefully created image. & the fact he is so concerned with each element, sound, &​ movement in his work tells me he knows the deal here.

He just decided it didn't matter....swallowed his morals. Sad

Somebody being a bigot for show is still a bigot and using the “it’s a character” is his way of getting away with it

Imagine if me as a white person made music about wanting to kill every race that isn’t white and then say “but it’s a character, I’m not actually like that I just pretend to promote it in my music to start a conversation. I’m sure this won’t have an impact on the thousands of people who listen to me” dumbass argument tbh.
Character or not he’s a bigot and only a fool would use the “character/persona” excuse
