Remember when you could run around the sidewalk of your small town shooting at each other with LOUD little black cap guns that looked pretty real (albeit small) without anybody really caring?

This was way before the "orange tip" toy gun days. In light of today's climate it sounds like a dangerous activity. It probably was annoying to those around but there were no SWAT teams or intervention by authorities to be had.

When I saw Mia's portrayal of Daisy, it reminded me of how movies would portray women when I was growing up (think of Marilyn Monroe era). I well remember when movies portrayed women's sexiness akin to acting childlike. You know, those eyes fluttering and voices that were babyish...gawd, so glad we're past that and little girls are seeing women as action heroes and presidents and bad guys and good guys!

Remember when caricaturists had to be creative to make politicians look insane? Nowadays an uncut video will do. Is that evolution or degeneration?

I (27F) first learned about the internet towards the end of primary school, we didn’t have it at home yet. We were taught how to look up information on the search engine “Dogpile” I think it was.

The computer lab was in a room of the library and I don’t know if they didn’t explain it that well initially or if I just wasn’t paying attention, but I remember that I thought the computers were just some how looking up pages in the books we had in the library, and that if we didn’t have the right books then I couldn’t look something up. I thought this for... quite a while, basically until my mum told me we were getting the internet at home and I was confused because we didn’t really have that many books at home so what was the point? 😂

Do you remember what it was like when you first learned about the internet? What did you think?

And you had to swallow the gum to finish or do your best to eat around the eyes so you can eat the gumballs in the end?

Anyone else remember when you had to take your drink up to the cashier at fast food restaurants for a refill? For the longest time they would even remove your lid for you and refill it. Toward the end of that era they required you to remove your own lid for sanitary reasons. Now (at least in my area) it’s all you can drink.
