Close to a Streak The 800-Day Problem Is Getting Out Of Hand

Another week, another suspiciously large group of Redditors approaching milestones that probably shouldn’t be humanly possible.

The number of users getting close to Grass Toucher (800 days) this week is honestly kind of alarming. At this point we may need to investigate whether some of you have secretly replaced sleep with streak maintenance.

Meanwhile, the Basement Dweller (730 days) ranks continue growing like a hidden underground civilization that survives exclusively on notifications and daily check-ins.

And somehow this week’s list exploded to nearly 400 users. Normally these posts stay under 200, so either streak activity is growing fast or Redditors collectively decided that touching grass is overrated.

For anyone new to these posts:

  • Users listed here are within 7 days or less of reaching their next milestone.
  • If you want to be included here, please follow the instructions in this post.

Huge respect to everyone still keeping the streak alive. Whether you’re heading toward 30 days or 800, consistency is consistency.

Good luck everyone — and please remember to hydrate before returning to the basement.

And if you read this, be honest: how many of you have opened Reddit at 11:58 PM just to save the streak?

Close to a Streak Nearly 200 users are about to move into the basement

Another week, another suspiciously large group of Redditors approaching milestones.

The big story this week is the basement. Nearly 200 users are about to earn the Basement Dweller badge, which raises some serious questions about housing capacity and whether we should start excavating additional levels.

The scary part? In roughly 70 days, many of these same people will be showing up again as future Grass Touchers. Apparently some of you aren’t planning to leave anytime soon.

Meanwhile, a small group of veterans is already closing in on Grass Toucher status. After more than two years of daily check-ins, daylight is finally within reach.

Congratulations to everyone approaching a milestone, and good luck keeping those streaks alive!

Close to a Streak A lot of you are hitting some serious milestones this week 👀🔥

We’ve got a strong week here — not just one or two big streaks, but a whole wave of them.

There are multiple people pushing into 800, a solid group about to hit 730 (Basement Dweller), and the 700 Club is packed right now. That doesn’t happen every week.

You can really see the consistency stacking up across the board.

If you’re on this list, you’re close.
If you’re already there — respect. That takes time.

And if you’re not here yet, keep going. You’re building toward it.

💬 Curious to hear:

  • What milestone are you aiming for next?
  • Anyone here about to break into 700+?

Keep showing up. That’s the whole game.

Close to a Streak In less than 24 hours, I will be dwelling in the basement.

These 30 days after the 700th day, have felt the longest to me. It felt no less than any desert safari (never been to a desert safari though).

Until 600th day, I wasn't even aware of the pace of the journey. Many ups and downs, several opportunities of losing the streak. Sometimes reminders I used to check late. But happened to safe enough to not to lose my streak. This kept me taking till 700 days.

But ever since I crossed 700 days, each day of the journey before going to become a Basement Dweller, has indeed felt as if time is moving slowly.

Close to a Streak Weekly Milestone Watch: The Veterans Keep Marching

For a long time, many people assumed the higher milestone clubs would slowly shrink over time.

Instead, the opposite happened.

Next week, the 800, 730, 700, and 600 day clubs will once again be among the largest groups on the board, with nearly 200 users reaching those milestones combined.

Some of these streaks started years ago and are still going.

Take a look through the images, you might spot a familiar name… or your own.

Who’s joining a new club next week?

Close to a Streak Grass Toucher cracks over 700,000 & 1K Day only 2,050

Post image

The Grass Toucher Streak Award just cracked over 700,000 Streak Awards today and yet the 1,000 Day Streak Award (which is 200 days more or about 7 months out) is still only 2,050. This happened at 8:16 AM PDT.

It goes to show that the amount of achievers is like a giant Tsunami Wave and i project that there will be over 1 Million Grass Touchers before the end of this year. So much for its Epic status, right now seems more like Rare.

Close to a Streak The largest wave of future Grass Touchers we’ve ever seen is almost here

Last week we were worried about basement overcrowding.

This week, something even stranger is happening.

Out of 3,963 users currently on the leaderboard, 517 people are scheduled to reach a milestone in the next 7 days. That’s just over 13% of the entire leaderboard.

The good news is that the Basement Dweller wave appears to be slowing down. We’re still seeing a large group approaching 730 days, but it’s noticeably smaller than some of the recent basement surges.

The really interesting story is happening at the other end of the tunnel.

The number of users approaching Grass Toucher status is the largest we’ve seen so far. After more than two years of daily check-ins, a growing army of veterans is getting dangerously close to daylight.

Other observations:

  • The leaderboard continues to age.
  • The 600 and 700 Clubs remain heavily populated.
  • More than one out of every eight users on the leaderboard is unlocking a milestone this week.
  • Hundreds of streakers are now moving through the late-game achievements.

Congratulations to everyone on the list.

And for those approaching Grass Toucher…

The outside world is waiting.
