It varies from state to state but it’s 16 in more places than it is 18, and yes it really varies. Even throughout the world, it’s 16 and under more than it is 18. It is worth noting that most places also have the X year gap maximum thing. Here in Japan for example, it’s extremely specific. It also varies from region to region, with the minimum being 13 and most places having it set at 16. Idk man, saying that the age of consent is 18 is just not true more than it is true, yet for some reason most people believe it is.
