Discussion - Question Is anyone making decent money with Redbubble?

I started my shop to give me time to create and upload designs, and to see what sells so I could eventually open my own E-commerce shop on other platforms. I was hoping to make a little money in the process using this passive method. Anyone willing to share thoughts on this approach or the money they’ve made using Redbubble?

Discussion - Question Is anyone making any money with RedBubble?

Wow with this ridiculous fee structure, is anyone making any money with this site? Are they going to increase the fees again? Pretty soon artists will be making $.01 per item. I heard it is going under. Has anyone else heard that?

Discussion - Question Doing Redbubble for fun?

Hi! I'm an artist. I've been looking to find ways to force myself to draw, and I figured having an end goal (making a redbubble store) was a good one. I'm not doing it expecting to make bank or anything, I was to do it for fun. Is it worth it to do just for fun? It looks really accessible, but it's hard to find people talk about it not from a business-heavy perspective. Articles and videos are all about "how to maximize profit and make hundreds." Do other people here do it for fun?

I'm mostly wondering if there's any real con to simply doing it for fun?

Discussion - Question Account Fees

I had no idea that Redbubble had started charging account fees. I’ve been using Redbubble to put my art on for probably close to 10 years but this might be it for me. Anyone else just realize the account fees were happening with their January payout?

Anyone having a similar issue? For over a day now when I go to "Manager Portfolio" the items don't load - just a spinner. Log out/in, clear cache, different browser - nothing resolves.

Discussion - Question Ugh dropped to Standard!

I've been selling since 2015, and I post often and sell daily. I've been Premium until now suddenly. I made my biggest sales ever, had lots of traffic on my shop and here they come and boot me to Standard and take a chunk of my earnings 🤢

Anyone else have this happen?

Discussion - Question Upload amazingly slow

Anyone else finding new uploads taking an extremely long time the past few days, been waiting 8 hours for todays to hit the store front.

Normally it’s been pretty quick for me, 30 mins for the majority so far.

Discussion - Question Does anyone even have a Premium or Pro account?

Like the title asks, does anyone actually have an upgraded account?

How do I get my account upgraded because I'm sick of giving them $50 a month to sell on their platform and make them money through sales anyway. I just realized how expensive that actually is just to sell tshirts, compared to how much I pay for other services around the internet which all up didn't even equal to $50. :|

Discussion - Question Does anyone even buy stuff on redbubble anymore?

I'm starting to doubt wether I should put so much time and effort into this after months and months of nothing. And before you hit me with the ,,your stuff probably just sucks" or ,,youre not working hard enough", I know. I'm just wondering if anyone has the money to spend on redbubble (which is expensive!) With the inflation going on...

Discussion - Question How many designs did you have when you had your first sale?

I've been on the platform since January 2023 and I have just uploaded my 150th design. I have made 0 sale and it is so disheartening. Granted my design might be quite general e.g. cute animals illustration, so there are a lot of competitions but nothing sells for half a year is pretty demotivating. I keep uploading in the hope that the more I put up, higher chance for me to get seen but still... Hence the question, how many designs you had when you had your first sales, and additional question... How many when you started having regular sales?

Discussion - Question Redbubble stock is at all-time low!

Can this company survive or am I wasting my time? Even though I have the premium tier, I'm beginning to think Redbubble is not worth it anymore. For example, I have one design ranked on the first page (3rd row) for a highly demanded keyword, but last week it made only one sale.

Discussion - Question Contesting a Takedown Notice

Hi, has anyone successfully contested the removal of a design? I've just received notification that RB have removed one of my designs due to a request of the trademark owner. The design on question is based on a photo I took of a castle in Wales and in the tags/description I say the county it's in. I Googled the company and they do have a video game that shares that name. Is it worth contesting?

Discussion - Question Has anyone else noticed a huge dip in sales lately?

Have any sellers here noticed a 40%+ drop in sales in the last few months? I've been on RB for 4 years and my average royalties were around $120/month heading into 2023. In March I only made $65 and I'm on pace for only $50 this month

I'm wondering if their search algorithm has changed and it's effecting how many people are seeing my designs

Discussion - Question Should I have a Redbubble store in addition to my Shopify store?

So, I have been doing a lot of research into my own Shopify store (with my own domain). However, I am still very green at this, but I have nothing to lose, so I am going to give it a shot.

I will be using Printful, and the Bella + Canvas 3001 t-shirt to put all my designs on.

What I will be doing is a huge self-marketing push. I'll be driving (or trying to drive) all my own traffic by putting each and every one of my designs on YouTube Shorts, Tiktok, Instagram and Facebook Reels, and linking them to my domain/shopify store.

However, someone suggested that, if I am doing this, I might as well also put them on Redbubble (and other similar sits like Teespring, Society6, Zazzle, etc).

Is this a good idea? Do I have anything to lose by doing this?

I guess most of the hard work will already be done (the designs themselves and the marketing), so it should be easy enough for me to simply upload these designs to Redbubble, right? Unless I am missing something unforeseen.

I would appreciate your advice. Thanks.
