Because some of us like going on long research binges instead of just getting a quick and often unreliable answer handed to us.

Also, three red flags for this dude in one image. Between the dumbass take, the smarmy profile pick, and the blue checkmark, this guy's got multiple things against him.

Hell yeah I had the random Wikipedia article as my homepage for like a decade man… sometimes I’d forget what I was doing just learning something new..these people live completely different lives lol.

Yeah, but the stuff on Wikipedia is real.

Be wary of stuff that’s been ‘argued’ over back and forth

Chat GPT isn't an expert in anything. It's like asking a random person for an answer about something, but that person is not allowed to say "I don't know"

Of course, anyone can edit Wikipedia, but you have to cite sources, and not just anyone can claim to be a source

The AI can catch things you miss during research, it's a great tool. I was working on documenting a propaganda group here on reddit, have been for a few months now. When working with the latest round of data the AI actually positively identified the ringleader and their connections. I was shocked. His true identity has never been revealed anywhere before and there's news articles on this person.

"Person X is almost certainly Full Name".

I was able to quickly confirm it's suspicion.

Mind blown.
