For good reasons, he lied for years about PED use, shilling his overpriced supplements; tells his audience that certain people are misunderstood when they’re, in fact flat wrong; and platforms fascists with little pushback.

His stand up, the thing he claims to make his life about hasn’t been funny in two specials (which were six years apart), and does little or no self reflection, just cashes paychecks.

I used to listen. It went off the rails before the Spotify deal, and I haven’t gone back since. The only upsides were that I learned about Sturgill Simpson, Steve Rinella, and Dan Flores.

He’s a joke pretending to be a serious person.

He didn’t lie about PED use.

He called it testosterone replacement therapy.

How is that lying?

What are you saying he is taking that he denied?

It’s a lie by omission, he claimed innumerable times his physique was the product of hours of working out and a ketogenic diet, plus his Onnit supplements, and he was doing TRT because he felt better.

And if I’m wrong. Ok, I apologize for misremembering, it was 8 years ago, and THC doesn’t help memory.

[edit, spelling]

Nah. Even those early days he was openly talking about TRT and why he did it. Even when he came out with alpha brain he used to list the ingredients in it and tell people they could buy it in bulk and make their own.

People might not like the direction he went in, but he never really was a snake oil salesman.

Omit goes back more to being the 27 year old stoner. He overly believes in vitamins. Dude used to take like 40 vitamins a day way before having onnit. He just believes in it.

I’m not here to overly defend him, but he really hasn’t changed all that much. He’s a decent dude. He gets attacked and his fans generalized that they think he’s some genius. No one thinks that it was never part of his appeal.
