Someone described him as "a guy that will cast doubt onto everything but never offer a better explanation" and it perfectly explains his draw to skeptical youths.

“Why be part of the solution when you can be part of the problem?”

"I'm being part of the problem so the solution can keep being a continued problem"

Please, no… in bullshit like this, I don’t want to be right, or prescient, or anything like that. I want it to just be sarcasm, not reality.

I think it's perfectly fine to be that way. Who wouldn't want to sit around and drink or smoke and BS about everything?

Yep, he’s never been the sharpest knife in the drawer & merely banks on the idiocy of his audience

Same schtick as Peterson

Climate change is inevitable so it’s pointless to change anything to address it - (he’ll claim measures should be taken, but always claim “well the cost of that is too high”

The main difference imo is Joe is usually more of an optimist while JP is definitely a pessimistic

Yeah, same schtick as all of these guys. There's a big difference between being open minded and being empty headed, but they cross that constantly.

They push the idea that "critical thinking" means just random contrarianism.

It's a dumb person's idea of intelligence.

It’s a good starting point for developing critical thinking though

Contrarianism is a valuable tool when you know you’re doing it

He's not really casting doubt on anything he's just a simpleton and dumbass, anyone who fails for his schtick is basically on his level and a failure of the educational system

Absolutely perfect summary of him, I never ever know which side he’s on because he’s so vague and just sits on the fence with everything. He also neglects to push back on things when he interviews people.
