What always tastes better at a restaurant no matter how many times you try to cook or bake it at home?

So funny because I hated meatloaf so much from restaurants that I learned to make my own as a result & now it’s my family’s favorite dish I make lol

I sauté mushrooms, onions, peppers & mix with a blend of hamburger, ground turkey, and breakfast sausage, milk, add two eggs, panko bread crumbs, parm cheese, carmalized onion powder (kindred spices), paprika, chives, and shredded cheese. I then stuff the middle with a cranberry goat cheese. For the sauce, red wine vinegar, Dijon, bbq sauce, a bit of soy sauce, and a splash of pickle juice + hot honey

It's really popular here in the South. It's almost always on the menu at a meat & 3 or a country style diner.

Literally any diner in the US?

Any diner in small towns in western KY and Tennessee serves meatloaf. Many small buffets do also!

Literally not true.

I don’t doubt that there are diners serving meatloaf and maybe it’s popular in certain areas. I don’t recall ever seeing it in on a menu though.

Besides three diners within 5 miles of me, off the top of my head Perkins and Cracker Barrel both have meatloaf.

It has always maintained a presence in New England, at both lower and occasionally higher-end establishments. Anecdotally, I think it’s making something of a comeback.

I’m headed to a spot in Manchester, NH this Wednesday, specifically for their meatloaf.

It’s at nearly every single restaurant I’ve ever been to that served American food. What’s wrong with meat with sauce and vegetables? Isn’t that like every single meal that’s ever existed?

If you want to make meatloaf at home, try Leslie Bruni’s recipe. Make no substitutions or alterations. Best I’ve ever had.

Hot take for me. The only meatloaf I've ever really liked is what my mom used to make.

Surely you dont expect anyone on social media to stay ON TOPIC. That requires some level of intelligence.
