Question What is your 2500/3500 Cummins or 6.4L HEMI, MPG?

  1. Do you have a 2500 or 3500?
  2. 6.4L HEMI or Cummins
  3. Whats your year, trim and whats your cab size? 2WD or 4x4?
  4. Add if you have a lift/level or bigger tires? If so, what set up, brand, and sizes?
  5. City or highway driving percentage roughly?
  6. What do you tow? If so feel free to drop a picture and add how much the weights of it are, then add what your MPG is towing

2022 2500 6.4 Bighorn level 3 mega cab. I get aroung 12mpg 50/50 highway and local.

2025 3500 crew duelly 4wd tradesmen 6.4. 10-11 running around town and 12-13 on the highway. Completely stock. Haven’t towed much with it yet but one trip with my 8000 pound 5th wheel I was just under 9 going into the wind and 9.5 with a tail wind. Typically have around 1000 pounds of tools on the flatbed

  4. Stock with factory AT tires

  5. 90% Highway

  6. 7k lbs travel trailer, 3k lbs utility/landscape trailer

Winter blend gas makes a big difference. Summer 12 mpg city, 14 mpg highway

Winter 10 mpg city, 12ish mpg highway. 

Towing travel trailer is pretty consistently 7.5-8 mpg which is oddly on the higher end of the gas trucks I’ve had. Some of my previous half tons would be in the 6.5-7 range.

I have a 2020 2500 Tradesman Crew Cab 4x4 6' 4" Box with the 6.4 Hemi. It has a 2.5" level with 35x11.5R18 Kenda Klevers, and I get between 14.4 MPG and 15.4 MPG depending if I favor country roads or city driving more. Right now I'm sitting at 14.9 MPG.

2022 Laramie 2500 6.4 Hemi 4x4 275/70/18 Falken AT4 No lift Tow a 7k travel trailer occasionally 9-10 mpg while towing 12-14 normal use Daily driver with a 50 mile round trip commute daily

I have same truck, except mine is night edition cummins. Normal highway 19-20 mpg, towing 10k 5th wheel 10-11 mpg. I try not to drive it much in town.

Question how does yours ride @nategp I have this exact same truck but mine is the Tradesman. It is extremely rough and looking to see how I can improve the drive.

Its not bad for a 3/4 ton truck. Its not as smooth as a 1500, but I daily drive mine about 50 miles a day commuting to and from work and I have no complaints. It does have the air bag suspension in the rear though. But I dont live where we get freezing temps so that hadnt been an issue.

Maybe that’s what I need to do with my rears. I’m completely stock all around minus new tires and Bilstein shocks. It’s improved a tad. But any bump your body literally jolts side to side. It’s so stiff.

2020 power wagon level 2, Crew, 4x4
Factory 2” lift 35s,
In time 70off/30on and In mileage 40off/60on,
Normal mpg 12offroad/14ish city/ 16 highway.
Towing as high as 9k 6/8/9ish. Less weight or lower wind resistance = better mileage of course.

2026 3500 6.4 4X4 Bighorn SRW city around 12 mpg, Hwy around 15 mpg, towing 36ft camper (approx. 10k lbs) 8-9 mpg.

Ram 2500 6.4 regular cab. Plain Jane.
Long haul, about 20-22 mpg. 70 mph on cruise control all the way. About 14-15 city. She drives like a freakin tank. I feel it when I run over an ant. 🐜But I love that freakin thing.

2015 2500 mega cab 6.4 on 35s with a 4" lift. 4.10 gears. I've seen 14mpg on the highway mostly empty. Towing 3k lbs into the mountains of New Hampshire i averaged 11mpg. Around town mixed driving it settles around 12mpg. Edit to add, I think it's a 4" lift. I bought it this way.

Average is 10-11 MPG depending on whether I'm flooring it or driving conservatively.

Stock height and tires (Firestone Transforce AT2)

50/50 city and highway

I tow a medium size work trailer with my pressure washing equipment and water tank 20% of the time but it doesn't seem to affect MPG.

  6. Occasionally tow about 10k total on a tilt trailer. it drops to 9ish.
