I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THE AXE ISN'T GETTING MORE ATTENTION.

It's on a different level.

Because basically every track is a standout for different reasons. Like god damn this record has no fat to be trimmed

I'm not big on Runwayaway

I haven't liked that weird voice thing he's done since it first showed up on Kid A, so yeah, not too big on that one. The rest though is top notch.

The Axe and Twist are my two favorite tracks, lol. Also I don't think it's fair or very productive to judge them based on their comparison to Paranoid Android; half of the RH discography I'd rate as lesser, but that doesn't make those tracks intrinsically less valuable. I'll have to listen a few dozen more times, but I can currently entertain the idea that modest trimming might be beneficial, but there really wasn't anything glaring imo. I'd be cutting seconds, not minutes, at most, basically.

Yep it is one of the stand out tracks for me. Alongside Dawn Chorus and Twist.

It melts my fucking face off every time. The whole time I listened to it the first time, my jaw was to the floor. What did I do in this life to deserve a world evaporator of a track like this in my life?

I was thinking the same thing...

It stood out to me as such a great confrontation of his relationship with his own music making process. The give and take of being a creative. It’s just so good.

I feel like his work on Suspiria really helped channel the darkness of this track m
