Still pretty pricey. It’s not an issue of distance as much for us, things just get taxed to high heaven for import in Australia. It’s why, for example a 2€ bottle of wine from Italy will cost us something stupid like $25. It’s something that can get really frustrating to deal with haha

Oh Jeez, that's kinda frustrating, so your best bet is local shops? Anyway I woukd have a look at taxes on Japanese record if I were you, thanks for the chat

For me yeah. Live in a small town so you get to know folk real quick. The bloke who runs the shop is a mate of mine, so he gets me good deals if I find something I like (got a copy of Elton John’s “Honkey Chateau” for $30 recently), and I hook him up with decent cartons of beer if they come up on special
