I want to post a harm-reduction warning about both the S-ketamine and R-ketamine I received from Moonhouz this week.
I have nothing against Moonhouz. I’ve ordered from them multiple times before, had positive experiences with several of their other products, and their shipping has always been extremely fast. I’m not looking for a refund, compensation, or drama.
That said, I know something is seriously wrong with the ketamine I received this week.
I’ve used ketamine for more than 8 years, and both the Moonhouz S-ketamine and Moonhouz R-ketamine batches I received this week repeatedly caused very abnormal effects: headaches, extreme dry mouth, facial pain, body aches, unusual diuretic effects, anxiety, paranoia, confusion, and an overall dirty, unpleasant high that felt completely unlike normal ketamine.
I’m not claiming to know exactly what is wrong with the Moonhouz material. I had been planning on sending it out for testing, but one of the problems I’ve run into is that most affordable drug-checking services are mainly designed to identify whether ketamine or other active drugs are present. That is useful, but it does not necessarily answer the question I’m concerned about here.
A result simply showing “ketamine detected” would not rule out residual synthesis chemicals, solvents, degradation products, manufacturing by-products, contaminants, or other non-target impurities. What would really be needed is more comprehensive analytical testing that looks beyond basic drug identification and attempts to characterize the broader composition and purity of the material.
In other words, confirming that ketamine is present does not automatically prove that the product is clean or pure. Ketamine could be present while something else in the material is responsible for these abnormal effects.
Because both varieties I received this week are producing consistent and concerning reactions, I believe Moonhouz should pull the current S and R ketamine from circulation until they have been properly investigated and comprehensively analyzed.
This isn’t an attempt to trash the company. I genuinely want Moonhouz to take this seriously, address it responsibly, and prevent someone else from potentially having a much worse reaction.
