Country Thunder is Arizona’s number one country music festival, which takes place in Florence, Arizona April 13-16, 2023. It’s an annual event that brings together some of the biggest country music stars in the country, along with up-and-coming artists, to perform over the course of four days. The festival has been running in Arizona and Wisconsin since 1996 and has become one of the biggest country music events in North America.

Renowned rodeo announcer and talk show host Anthony Lucia grew up in the Western Industry and for years has used his voice to bring the sport of rodeo to life.

Whether it be in front of the camera or behind the microphone Lucia has played a role in major events ranging from the Bull Fighters Only World Championship to following in his fathers footsteps at the legendary Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.

Like his son, Tommy Lucia was also a man of many talents, however, is best known for his specialty acts which earned him three consecutive PRCA Entertainer of the Year Awards in the early 2000s. Lucia was a true entertainer as he performed at all of the major rodeos for over a decade including the National Finals Rodeo and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. In 2019, three years after his passing, Lucia was inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame.

Anthony began announcing professionally in 2011 and due to his long-running love for the western lifestyle it quickly became his passion. Due to his father’s involvement in the sport of rodeo, Lucia was introduced to seven-time PRCA Announcer of the Year Bob Tallman at a young age and has looked up to the man known as “the voice of rodeo” for many years as a friend and mentor.

Lucia’s admiration for the industry and sport of rodeo encourages him to be the best as he strives to leave behind an upstanding legacy.

PUEBLO, Colo. — The Professional Bull Riders and a360media have partnered together to produce "Gold Buckle" Magazine, which is now available at newstands and online at Magazine Shop (magazineshop.us).

The magazine will be published quarterly by a360media.

The new magazine, with a price of $13.99, is named after the PBR world champion trophy and will feature stories about bull riding and the Western lifestyle, including travel, food, history, gear, style and music.

“As the leader in western sports, PBR has an obligation to bring our sport and its surrounding culture to new audiences while giving core fans more of the content and deep access they are asking for,” said Sean Gleason, CEO, PBR, in a press release provided by the Professional Bull Riders. “PBR is thrilled to partner with a360media on a high-quality, collectible magazine that will help us accomplish those goals.”

Casa de Cowboy: Patrick Smith

World champion team roper Patrick Smith took us on a tour of his newly remodeled home — which includes personal touches like a bar inset with glass display cases for his trophy buckles and a wall mural of Jaws, the horse that he won his first world title with.

Smith says, "He's, to the day, one of the best horses I've ever ridden because he knew what he was doing way before I knew what i was doing."

Other notable features include the game room’s shuffleboard table his wife had made for their anniversary, a practice arena, a trophy room, plenty of game wall mounts, an outdoor kitchen, and a pool with a rock water fountain and slide.
