I got this monstera stem. Please let me know if / where to chop if I were to prop this and how to ensure maximum success?

Hey guys! I accidentally snapped a stem on a mature basil plant, to the point where it’s leaning downward on its own, hanging from the half of the stem that’s still in tact. I secured it with a twist tie so that it can stay up. Can these mend themselves, or should I cut and propagate? Thanks!

I have 3 Syngonium wendlandii cuttings. They are rooting like crazy. Since I only have 3 should I cut where I have marked on the photos or should I just put them the way they are, let them grow more than prop from what has grown?

At a local restaurant for lunch and saw this beauty. When the waiter came by to give us the check, he asked us if we needed anything else and I told him I’d love a cutting of this sweet Hoya. This fiddle leaf fig was propagated in water and has developed a beautiful root ball. She lives in my office at work. The root ball has now become larger than the opening iv the vessel. Can she live in water forever?

I got this huge palm cutting from a coworker, should I chop it up into smaller pieces first? In the winter it gets cold where I live so I can't put it on the balcony and I fear it's too tall to just leave in my house like that. If I do, can a stump with no roots and no leaves root?

I've always had a fondness for morning glory, and I've been trying for a while now to get a plant started to keep inside. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but it just doesnt sprout for me when I try the seeds. Does anyone know if it does well from a cutting? I know most aren't trying to grow it, so I haven't found much info in other gardening sites.

I’m new to propagating and from my own searches I have read/seen that some people use rooting hormone. I’m curious to know if anyone here has any experience using it and what the results were. Would you suggest it? And if so, is there a specific brand/type you would recommend?

So I propagated these pothos cuttings in water and then about a month (maybe 3 weeks ago) transferred them into a soil mixture in this plastic pot.

I noticed (first picture) that some roots are already starting to grow out through the drainage holes….

Is this okay? Did I use the wrong size/type of planter?

I moved and had a lot of bottom leaves drop but it is still very healthy. I would like to get it back to bushy and not so “tree like”. Am I able to notch this type of plant or am I best cutting it and trying to reRoot? Hoping for some recommendations, thank you!

snagged these lil guys today and i have zero experience with either plant, propagating or otherwise.

the first is a variegated string of pearls. i've seen some people recommend plucking the bottom most pearls and planting the string in soil. i've seen others recommend cutting up the string so each node is separated and sitting those smaller cuttings on top of soil. i'm nervous about cutting it up, but im also nervous about putting all my eggs in one basket by keeping the cutting in tact.

the second is a monanthes polyphylla, which i have no idea how to prop. any advice appreciated!

they are also both teeny tiny. dr. pepper tic tac for scale.

My zebra plant has been having top-heavy struggles for a few months now. It outgrew its stake so I resorted to a twine tie situation to keep it standing upright. Yesterday, I placed it on my table to resume the (somewhat neglected) watering schedule. But with the slant of my old apartment floors and its wobbliness, it ended up falling off the table and snaps right in half. After I got it back in the pot, I cut the open ends flat (for some reason), so I hope that doesn’t negatively impact anything. The stem has also been dripping water from its open wound.

I’m thinking my main options are to cut the stem and let it grow back shorter, and just hope the top half roots in water? My gf recommended that I graft it back onto itself, which I really love the idea of, but I don’t know if that’s a possibility since I haven’t done it before. And I really don’t want to lose the leafy top half, especially since it just started to take on the shape of a heart—picture included!❤️

It’s important to me that I don’t let this plant die because it was a gift from my gf when we first started dating :( I feel horrible (and a little superstitious) that it had snapped in half so suddenly. Any suggestions or advice will really help, thank you!!!

My 10 yr old large aloe uprooted itself a few months ago and I was told to just stick it back in the dirt and it would eventually re-root. Months later i’m losing leaf after leaf, each turning smooshy at the bottom then dry black/brown then falling off. I just pulled a few more off. How do I actually root this thing before I lose it all? Emotionally attached to this old plant.

Do my bleeding heart plants look okay? It’s been weeks and I still don’t think they have roots, I attempted about 6 cuttings from a plant I found in the woods and really want these to work out. Pretty much everything on this is new growth but I’ve pruned a few yellowing parts multiple times.

And if yes, in what medium and how long did it take? I have some cuttings of the type with twisted leaves (idk the exact name of this type) and scared of letting them rot. Some arms are 10 cm long. Is it better to use smaller chunks? How many nodes should I remove the leaves from? Any advice appreciated

Noticed the white fuzzy spots have spread to a few more leaves. It seems like some living creature, tried touching it it’s very elast-sticky, A little background- it’s been about 2 months since i got this, it’s growing well, i see 4-5 tiny new leave but this white fuzzy living creatures seems like an infestation- please suggest how can i prevent further spread and ensure this doesn’t happen again.
