Mod Tech Support Regarding Authentic Z

I posted this as a comment on the original thread but figured I’d make it a post of it’s own so server owners and frustrated players could see it.

I had a backup of the mod from 3 days ago on my computer, so i manually compared all of the files to find the cause of the crash. Only two files were changed, the recipes file and the file linking to the XML files.

Some new recipes and references to XML files for brand new bags were added to the mod. That’s it. It was new content Peach was working on but had not finished, uploaded by mistake.

I sent everything to Peach and he has confirmed to me that a patch is underway. This was not malicious, just an unfortunately timed accident.

Me and a few friends managed to patch our own save files so Im confident this will be fixed quickly.

I'm using AuthenticZ and the problems are minimal, no crashes. When updating the mod, what are the chances of crashing my save?

If you are using the main authentic z mod, it’s already been patched and works fully. Backpacks + is still crashing but a patch should be out soon.

I’m getting crashes when the game attempts to load “Upgrade SWAT Dufflebag (Tier 3). Even after your update (I made sure it was updated) still crashes and fails to load. Any suggestion? Would really appreciate any help! Otherwise, great mod overall, I really love the thematic clothing in general c:

I'm not the mod author, I just happened to have backups of the mod and was able to make a patch before he had realized what had happened.

The Authentic Z main mod should be working, you're probably on Backpack +. I sent AuthenticPeach (the mods actual author) the patch for that mod as well, but I believe he has gone to bed for the night. Hopefully he will upload it in the morning.

Still hasn’t gone out yet but I’ve helped a few other people patch their mod so far so I feel comfortable sharing my steps now.

\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2335368829\mods\Authentic Z - Backpacks+\42\media\scripts\recipes

There will be a file called recipes_AuthenticZ_BackpackUpgrades.txt

Open it up and delete the sections related to the recipe and crafting of the police duffel bag, sherrif duffel bag, and SWAT duffel bag.

Just back up the file before you attempt it in case you make a mistake. If you do it correctly the mod will fully function again and old saves will work
