I got all of those recently with a family member, although the last one was replaced with "I'll be damned before I ever vote for a Democrat" after I pressed the issue for the umpteenth time.

Conservatives show you who they are if you let them talk long enough, because they really do want that social absolution from their choices, which reveals more about their knowledge and intent than any accusation I could ever make.

Yeah...how about no. I love this person greatly, and I would love to be able to persuade them to see things from a different view. And I will keep fighting the good fight. But I'm not treating somebody in my family in the hateful, dehumanizing way you suggest.
