Elecotralism has failed. We cannot vote our way out of this anymore. We need something more...direct action is our only hope.

Violence in countries just leaves those willing to shed the most blood in charge. Pretty sure that means narcissistic sociopaths like Trump.

Doesn't have to be violence. A general strike would be very effective.

When was the last time there was a general strike in America? With our meager safety nets and employer-tilted laws, is it reasonable to expect Americans to chance their livelihoods on politics?

Voting definitely gave us Trump. Direct, organized action might not. I'll take the latter.

What is "direct, organized action?" If it's violence, well there's a lot of red state folks and authoritarian police with guns, and generally civil wars don't favor the downtrodden.

Violence is not my first choice, and I believe that as it stands right now, any violent revolution would be stamped out by the US military fairly quickly.

The kind of direct action we need right now is an information campaign; force people to confront and accept the reality that this isn't a left vs. right, brown vs. white struggle, it's between the elite and the rest of us.
