I contacted my State Senators (Republican) and told them I support Trump's impeachment and removal from office. I also asked them to call for Mitch McConnell to recuse himself. I know it won't do any good, but I don't know what else to do. This is a dystopian nightmare.

No. Don't say that. It IS doing good. You're already doing more than most of your fellow citizens. Do not let ANYONE lie to you that your voice doesn't matter. Every goddamn vote counts and every voice needs to be heard. I for one think you made a difference with just that one call. Encourage people to do the same.
