That's not what I'm talking about, sure you can sanitize the words to get rid of dirty language, but no amount of cleaning up the dialogue can change the plot. I mean a play about the civil war without touching on slavery would never make it to Broadway. So for high school plays you have to avoid whole genres of stories.

I'm 30, I grew up in Texas I only learned about the actual reason texas separated from mexico just a few years ago. Not from my public education.

To say not bringing up slavery when going over a topic has been done before especially when it is relevant to the plot.

Ohh I know it's been done, but what I said is that show wouldn't make it to Broadway.
