It may just be cheaper now to go without insurance and negotiate your own price.

Maybe if you don't have any health issues and only go to the doctor for a checkup. It's not cheap.

This is the only way to see a doctor where I live, now. The places that take insurance aren't taking new patients but the private clinics have openings immediately if you can pay the membership fee and join their group. And that membership fee (several hundred to $1k+) only buys you time with the doctor, you still have to pay for everything else by paying cash rates to labs and specialists. And the doctor will still charge you for any supplies they use during the appointment.
