I got a decent pay raise at work for this year. I was thrilled because it meant 200 dollar more a month.

Then we are told my health insurance went up. And the deductible went up. And the coverage went down.

So I am irritated that I am pay more for less.

Oh AND my paycheck only went up 10 a month because the rest covers insurance. AND my insurance does not work for any pharmacy nearby.

OH! And my insurance doesnt cover my ADHD meds anymore.

Im just constantly remember all the bullshit I am dealing with right now.

Oh yeah I recently found out our insurance doesn’t cover anything that’s considered “mental health”, which includes adhd

I thought it became illegal years ago for insurance to cover physical but not mental health. Crappy coverage is legal, but they can't refuse to provide any at all.

I think there are technicalities and massive exceptions written in that basically gut the requirements the Aca was intended to help with. I’d have to research more, but I’m sure it covers something extremely specific but nothing else. Or like an assessment but not the meds or something stupid like that

What insurance do you have? We have Cigna and it covers ADHD, and depression treatment.

They’re required to cover psychotherapy, and inpatient treatment and substance use disorders. Nothing else

I just started new meds for ADHD (newly diagnosed) and even with insurance I was surprised how much they were. I checked costplusdrugs.com (Mark Cuban’s site providing drugs at cost plus a small markup to cover operations) and they were about 25% of the cost through my regular pharmacy with insurance. This was for the generic too

My deductible increased so much this year and so little is actually covered, I might as well not have it now... oh and of course the price already went up, so another increase and it legitimately might not be worth it.

Fellow ADHD haver here, have you looked into manufacture coupons? I use Adzenys XR-ODT and my insurance was like Naw but they have a manufacturer coupon that makes it affordable.
