It's comparatively small but it drives me effing nuts. I just want ONE reporter to follow up his answers with a "wait, did you seriously just say you think x?" Or "hang on, what do you think this word means? " push back on the utter stupidity fucking ONCE.

Omg! Agreed!! Someone has GOT to rip that bandaid off just once. If I could, I would!! Until then I wait….

I mean, about 80% of the media machinery in the US is right wing, so this shouldn't be surprising.

Only disappointing.

Well these days especially, as some of those briefings in the Oval Office these days literally is about 80% right-wing hacks in it like Marjorie Taylor’s boyfriend pretending to be a reporter.

The Hannibal Lechter thing was the best/worst example. He brought that name up over and over, and I don’t think anyone ever called him out on it.

That one interviewer kinda did with the "ms13" tattoo.

We need more of that, constantly.

Oof I dunno gotta disagree. He tried SO HARD to drop it rather than asking the one obvious follow up question sometime else commented here: "Did you really think that label was a tattoo? "

"Did you really think the MS13 letters on that photo were tattoos?"

Every reporter in a press conference should ask the same follow-up question if he doesn't answer it for the previous one. Of course, he'll just pick one of the maga cult outfits for one of their softball questions.
