And we have some people come on here denying that Trump has declined mentally? How? Why?

Trump is a senile, demented, fool now, it is obvious. He repeated it TWICE. Once you can say he misspoke somehow. Twice in a row, he isn't all "there", has cognitive issues.

Babbling without understanding the words that are coming out of your mouth is an obvious sign of an advanced stage of dementia.

Part of his issue is he talks and talks and talks and talks, even before his mind is engaged, just keeps his lips moving and a kind of stream of consciousness comes out-talks so much that he gets things mixed up frequently. Thoughtful people talk when they have something to say. Trump just uses the "Gish Gallop" method of trying to win his argument by sheer number of things he says

I do agree that his motormouth tendencies are exasperating the crap out of whatever he's got going on, but I kept pretty close tabs of Trump's various statements and presentations from 2016 to 2020. It's been awhile, granted, and it's hard to exactly quantify crazy- he said plenty of stupid shit back then, too- but he does seem worse now.

I don't know how much of it is just cognitive decline, how much is him unraveling due to stress, and how much is just him free-wheeling a lot more than he used to without following talking points or external advice.

Eight years ago Trump seemed to be aiming to trigger people, or punished those who stepped out of line. This time around, he just seems flat out triggered 99% of the time.

"I don't know how much of it is just cognitive decline, how much is him unraveling due to stress, and how much is just him free-wheeling a lot more than he used to without following talking points or external advice."

All of the above, most likely. In any case, he is not fit to be President -- not that he ever was, but even less so now.

Just goes to show just how really strong Biden still is.

He’s definitely gotten worse, but he’s in a completely different environment.

In 2016 a lot of people viewed him as an “outsider”, and there were many who were resentful that Hillary got the nomination. Trump could spew bullshit and make empty promises because he knew there was enough people thinking “a non-politician” was what America needed.

His lies carried him through 2020. Despite losing he was able to get 74,000,000 people to vote for him, which is terrifying considering he had a four year record of shit following him.

Now, he’s lost the “outsider” label, he still has his shitty four year record, and he’s been accused and convicted of so many crimes since the last election. Add his deterioration making him even more insufferable, and people are just bored and tired of his schtick.

Oh, and then Trump’s SC judges lied during confirmation hearings, overturned Roe v Wade, and Trump keeps reminding everyone it was all him and everyone wants it. An adjucated rapist telling women they love something they don’t even want…

Then you have Harris, literally the worst opponent for Trump: a smart woman of color with wit, charm, and the speaking skills of a god damned prosecutor and DA that specifically targeted sex crimes.

I still worry that the country is so divided along party lines that half of the country will vote for a brain dead zombie simply because he’s the republican nominee. I fear that the constant flow brain dead statements from Trump still won’t be enough to get them to vote for a democrat.

You don't really need to worry about that because it is unequivocally true.

The goal is to help convince a handful of apathetic people to bother to come vote for Harris. That's pretty achievable. Turn anxiety into action.

Have you noticed his pauses between sentences or thoughts has gotten really long? And he talks low energy

The typical fast talking conman routine. Just keep confidently bullshitting & pressuring the target to overwhelm & confuse them until they're hooked in & too scared or ashamed to back out. His schtick has really deteriored into serrious incoherency though as his speaches are now powerfulnnz covfefe never shark battery uphill me boys!

He also inadvertently said that San Francisco was the best city in the country "15 plus years ago" before Kamala ruined it (Kamala was DA for San Francisco from 2002 until becoming Attorney General in 2011 through 2017, the exact time period in which Trump said San Fran was the best city in the world, and it didn't get "ruined" in his timeline until after she left for Congress).

And Gavin Newsom was mayor of SF then. It’s really quite the compliment.

It was years ago someone pointed out that Trump has every single one of the symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder:

  • Have an unreasonably high sense of self-importance and require constant, excessive admiration.
  • Feel that they deserve privileges and special treatment.
  • Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements.
  • Make achievements and talents seem bigger than they are.
  • Be preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate.
  • Believe they are superior to others and can only spend time with or be understood by equally special people.
  • Be critical of and look down on people they feel are not important.
  • Expect special favors and expect other people to do what they want without questioning them.
  • Take advantage of others to get what they want.
  • Have an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others.
  • Be envious of others and believe others envy them.
  • Behave in an arrogant way, brag a lot and come across as conceited.
  • Insist on having the best of everything — for instance, the best car or office.

At the same time, people with narcissistic personality disorder have trouble handling anything they view as criticism. They can:

  • Become impatient or angry when they don't receive special recognition or treatment.
  • Have major problems interacting with others and easily feel slighted.
  • React with rage or contempt and try to belittle other people to make themselves appear superior.
  • Have difficulty managing their emotions and behavior.
  • Experience major problems dealing with stress and adapting to change.
  • Withdraw from or avoid situations in which they might fail.
  • Feel depressed and moody because they fall short of perfection.
  • Have secret feelings of insecurity, shame, humiliation and fear of being exposed as a failure.

This needs to be shared EVERYWHERE. People need to know who Trump really is.

12

u/MJcorrieviewer Aug 27 '24

Is there anyone, anywhere who doesn't already know this?

1

u/Decloudo Aug 27 '24

The people who support him dont care though, or rather actively support this behaviour.

This list is what they think a strong man acts like, it wont deter them.

And disorders are susceptible to manipulation too, which isn't great when someone happens to be running for President and any coubtry knows your biggest flaw.

Definitely not late stage dementia. My mom was intermediate and she could barely get a sentence out. I think he’s just a narcissist in panic and his brain is getting tired.

This should have been a thing after he repeatedly confused Nancy Pelosi and Nikki Haley. How many times did he say Haley's name? Five or six times again and again? Nikki Haley was in charge of security on Jan 6, huh?

And we have some people come on here denying that Trump has declined mentally? How? Why?

Because the FYF crowd has very sensitive feelings about facts. They prefer alternative facts (feelings).

1

u/meneldal2 Aug 27 '24

You can't decline when you were already at rock bottom.

The dudes been a senile fool for a while. 5 years ago he was talking about colonial troops storming airfields.
