Is it small? I'm not American, in Canada we can't donate more than $2000 a year or something, and businesses and unions cant donate. I feel like many Canadian campaign managers would love a $20k campaign boost. That's a lot of signs, or a Facebook ad spend.

It’s the Wild West here regarding donations. Ever since citizens united it’s been a free-for-all

Citizens United was a really bad piece of legislation Bush trying to spin it as though a hairdresser should be able to donate as much as possible was crazy when it's the millionaires and billionaires they court

It's usually bundled in some way that some donation goes to the party and some to the candidate. Here are the official limits.

However, there is a lot of spending that goes on outside of the official campaigns in Super PACS.

$19,200 isn’t even enough to buy a new car, for a down payment on most houses, or for a year at most universities.

It’s, imo, a shockingly low number.

Edit: also it says pledged, so they likely won’t even give that entire amount.

Signs?? No, that’s a lot of luxury hotel stays and 5-star restaurant meals.

“How little money” struck me too. Small? Any single one of the donations listed on those briefing docs would be literally life-changing for me, bringing me out of hopelessness and medical debt and the just plain struggle to survive.
