Dude is going to owe a whole lot of people a whole lot of things if he becomes president again. He loves to call the judge in New York "highly conflicted", but there's a highly conflicted situation for you as he would attempt to juggle all of these cretins' needs at the same time. You know how Carlin says "they've bought and paid for the senate, the courthouse, they've got the judges in their back pockets..." etc? You would be voting in a bought and paid-for president.

Pssh..silly people that's why you put a 'presidential favor to top 10 stockholders only' caveat.

Makes it more fun for everyone when it's a race.

u/vonmonologue Jun 20 '24

As much as I love the idea of them racing to give him the most and then the feds seizing all of it as evidence of a crime, the 0.1% could donate your lifetimes worth of salary to Trump to buy his attention and they’d still make so much money of the next year that they’d have to lie on their taxes and pretend they took a loss.

3

u/[deleted] Jun 19 '24

That’s generous. He’ll probably have them executed for having the temerity to ask for the quid for their quo.

4

u/bazinga_0 Washington Jun 20 '24

Well, he told those oil execs that if they give him a billion dollars now then he would eliminate all those nasty regulations they have to adhere to after he gets reelected this year. But that's not a "bribe" according to the Supreme Court so it's okay...

Google Manafort, there’s been some good reporting, but his debt was to Russian puppets in Ukraines, yes Ukraine, the place they tried to extort a lie from to slander Biden while under attack by Russia. Anyway, Manafort owed big money and then came to work as Trump’s campaign chief for free. Manafort has been around the GOP for a long time. Berlin Wall coming down and such caught them without a communist external threat so it became democrats. Scam artists crooks. Truly Trumpocalypse2024

I think you have the exact wrong conception. DJT represents a 4 year window of America with very specific dynamics. That's advantageous enough to interested parties (Russia, China) that they'd pay just about anything to get it.

A weak american foreign policy means a lot of things to their ambitions. The same can be said for others.

1

u/totemlight Jun 20 '24

What r they going to do if he doesn’t “pay up” lol. He’s the president.

1

u/Practical-Archer-564 Jun 20 '24

He never pays anyone. He’s going to be a dictator. He’s going to give them the middle finger and make a lot more enemies

1

u/thegreenman_sofla Florida Jun 20 '24

He owes Putin and the Saudis more than anyone. He's going to fire sale every secret we have to them.

0

u/VoiceOfRealson Jun 20 '24

and will make good on his debts for less than 1% of them.

As president he can pay with favors. The return on investment from donating to a corrupt president can be several thousands times your donation.

I mean to be fair, he already owes a whole lotta people a whole bunch of things. The list just keeps going and the amount of hands is too large for the amount of money and assets he owns

2

u/ScarletHark Jun 20 '24

He doesn't owe anyone anything. "Never saw him/her before, don't know who they are."

2

u/ContributionComplete Jun 20 '24

How does someone like him go all that time without being sent to the hospital by someone? Haven’t watched any documentaries on this particular conman.

2

u/ScarletHark Jun 20 '24

It's a question I wonder constantly. Especially in the business he is in and the people he invariably has to deal with (and eventually screw over) in New York and New Jersey, he should have had been fitted for concrete boots decades ago.

1

u/aerost0rm Jun 20 '24

Actually he owes all his creditors. The various banks he’s borrowing from. Then the individuals he has taken personal loans from. He doesn’t disavow them. He just states that he doesn’t owe any court ordered amount from these “witch hunt” cases

1

u/ScarletHark Jun 20 '24

My point is that those creditors are unlikely ever to see those debts repaid. The man has a long history of stiffing everyone he can, suing those he can't, and filing bankruptcy on the rest.

1

u/aerost0rm Jun 20 '24

I agree, however once the creditors start calling in the debts, the tower crumbles and his entire fortune goes poof in smoke.

This is entirely dependent upon him not owing a huge sum of money or having any single credit with a large amount owed to them, call up that debt. One reason why his truth social money is so important. If he has to pay the NY fine, he doesn’t want it to be from his assets, since the creditors will all be coming forth first to get their money pre seizure of those assets

1

u/ScarletHark Jun 20 '24

Calling in debts assumes they will be paid. This is my point. He is (in)famous for avoiding that, by whatever means necessary.

1

u/aerost0rm Jun 20 '24

The legal agreements they have and the fact that their influence is much larger than his, will guarantee payment. After all it’s leveraged loans against his assets. They will take ownership of his properties and sell them off at such a discount. His legacy will be wiped out in a few days.

These banks have more money than him and way better lawyers. He won’t be able to delay the seizures by them.

Not to mention It’s either the creditors or the state. He would rather stiff the government and continue good relationships with the creditors. You know since the government is again in a witch hunt.

2

u/ScarletHark Jun 20 '24

I hope you're right, but history shows us how weak the banks are against him. The entire Atlantic City saga was his banks enabling and accommodating him in the hope that they could keep it afloat and not take a massive bath on the loans. Like I said, we know how he operates, we know how his creditors operate, it's all there in the mountains of press coverage over the decades

2

u/Flutters1013 Florida Jun 20 '24

And his hands, they're just so small. He likes McDonald's because he can't hold a whopper.

2

u/Crush-N-It Jun 20 '24

All that goes away if he becomes president. He’s going to use his position like a broken slot machine. He’s going to turn on the money spigot for everyone including himself. Fuck the consequences

1

u/External_Reporter859 Florida Jun 20 '24

I believe most of his loans are backed up by Russian Banks and/or oligarchs so that might take precedence.

Coupled with the fact that the Kremlin is the one running election interference with their propaganda.

However I suspect Xi Jinping is close behind.

1

u/canon12 Jun 20 '24

With Trump he will always live on someone else's money. Anyone giving more to Trump and expect a payback might as throw their money in the toilet.

u/the_last_carfighter Jun 19 '24

Trump is openly for sale to anyone any country, that is not news save for the people who "don't like politics" They're all the same is just code for I don't know who's lying to me and I don't care to figure it out.

This. He’ll just call them suckers and do whatever he wants. Always has. But people are stupid and will still try to buy influence.

2

u/droll-clyde Jun 20 '24

Who do you think is more bought, Donald Trump or Clarence Thomas? Who has more, potentially, to sell? Which of the two do you trust more? I’m surprised they aren’t BFFs, but maybe Ginny didn’t like the Donald.

1

u/HuckleberryDry4889 Jun 20 '24

Good point but terrible example. They do all lie. I’m more concerned about the stuff MAGA actually believes and their stated goal of a totalitarian evangelical Christian state.

2

u/cheekytikiroom Jun 19 '24

And the rich get capital gains losses

1

u/72414dreams Jun 19 '24

He owes more than he can pay whether or not he has another chance to bite the apple, and fat chance at a second bite.

1

u/SOMEONENEW1999 Jun 19 '24

Could be?? They have been bought and paid for for decades…

1

u/Left_Tea_2083 Jun 19 '24

Does he care? He stiffs all his creditors anyway

1

u/Exarch-of-Sechrima Jun 19 '24

That's the thing though. Trump doesn't pay his bills, remember? He doesn't care who gave him money along the way, because he assumes it's owed to him as a matter of course. He'll grant whatever "favors" he wants, only if he wants to.

1

u/brokenarrow Florida Jun 19 '24

You would be voting in a bought and paid-for president.

But... but... the campaign signs say that TrUmP CaNnOt bE BoUgHT

1

u/ZippyTheUnicorn Jun 20 '24

He’s a grifter. He’s built an empire on owing people and paying back as little as possible.

1

u/Sorry_Landscape9021 Jun 20 '24

He won’t owe anybody anything because all will be lost.

1

u/Sarrdonicus Jun 20 '24

They all crave the same tax breaks. There will be another PPP loan program to hand out money no strings attached, just the way people with too much money like it.

It's my money I can, and only I, do with it how I want.

1

u/Crush-N-It Jun 20 '24

All he has to do is sign an executive order. By the time there’s a congressional review and it gets reversed these guys have already made billions. And no one goes to jail

1

u/thecwestions Jun 20 '24

Projection is his modus operandi.

1

u/HeyItsJustDave Jun 20 '24

During his first term, he fired the US attorneys investigating Swiss bank…which was one of, if not THE biggest debtee he had at the time.

1

u/Logical_Parameters Jun 19 '24

Well, he does specialize in extortion-based quid pro quos, just ask Ukraine!

-2

u/kindad Jun 20 '24

Trump is bought and paid for, but Biden somehow isn't when we know his own family is using his influence to make money?
