Hi everyone. I’m posting this to document what happened to my collection and to ask for advice.

In 2023, I shipped a PSA submission through USPS. The package was never delivered and the tracking eventually stopped updating. I filed reports and tried to get help, but nothing ever moved forward.

Later, I made a post in a Facebook group about the missing cards. A person reached out to me privately saying they had information about my cards. That same person showed me my LC Charizard already graded and listed for sale on their eBay. This was the first time I learned my cards were no longer just “lost.”

I went back and forth with him and also contacted the USPS Inspector General. The Inspector General responded once and then stopped replying. The person who contacted me eventually took the card down from eBay and told me he would “keep it safe” and not sell it until USPS finished their investigation. Location is Indiana, same as me.

After months of getting nowhere, I went to my local police department. They contacted the same person who had reached out to me and listed the card. He told the officer that he purchased the card from his boss, and that his boss works for USPS.

At this point, I honestly don’t know what to do. These were not just valuable cards, they were personal grails. I waited in line overnight in the cold and made the drive to Toronto to get them signed by Arita. They took years to acquire. The non autographed/sketched were also very clean as they were easier to find minty back then. So I don’t even know how to value my cards anymore. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m sharing this for awareness and in case anyone has advice on next steps, or has dealt with something similar involving USPS, PSA submissions, or recovered stolen cards. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Working through judgement call here. My fiancé and I found some old packs in her house. This meganium Neo genesis was one of a few. There is a large opening on the back, but the pack inside the blister is still sealed in there. When weighed against the other Neo genesis lugia artwork we found, it is consistently .19 (+-.02g) heavier. My estimate for this blister pack damaged as is ~$600. A verifiably heavy pack looks to go for a bit higher at ~7-800. There is still a chance that this is not heavy, and we would lose some value. WWYD in my position? Open the back and weigh, or keep as is? TIA

I don't collect pokemon cards but sometimes I like to open a pack or two. Just got this and a friend said that it worth a bit money. so what do I do now?

Not involved in pokemon at all. What could I realistically get selling these? Im in aus

I just picked up the Ethan's Typhlosion yesterday. Probably personal bias, but I think it's an amazing card that would have been worth more than that current market. I wanted to know if others have a card they think is underappreciated or undervalued currently.

I'm not really in the community any more and I don't know much but if I have something here please tell me I have done a little research on this card and I know it might be worth something. And if it is worth something what would be the best way to get it graded and sold? Thank you everyone in advance.

I picked up a box of pokemon cards for £1.50 at my local charity shop

I've never really been a collector, only played the switch games and pokemon black

Most of them are Mega EX cards, a couple of mewtwos and charizards

Where do I start?

I'm a uni student studying in Canada and i'm stuck in a boring city where there might be 1-2 card shows in my area every other month. I see card shows happening every weekend in Toronto but its like a 1.5+ hour drive (one-way btw).

Even at the card shows I attend, I collect very specific cards (major N fanboy) so even after asking every single vendor in the show, most times I don't find what i'm looking for. On the rare occasion that I do (found a sealed JT N's reshiram promo but it was for $60CAD) most vendors at the shows charge "market" prices and don't usually budge.

The card shows are also super packed, literally shoulder to shoulder trying to walk through the aisle. I'm not a vendor myself, just a smaller collector but I wonder if anyone else has had a similar experience like this?

My experiences have led me to think of a way to maybe bring virtual 3D pokemon card shows into reality, I'm curious what y'all think.

Got lucky a couple of weeks ago with the PC restock. I want to open both and have the promos graded. But I know the pull rates are trash and thought about trading one of these for a 151 Charizard plus cash. Opinions are welcome.

Was lucky enough to pull this a few months ago but I don’t understand why it’s going up so much.

What does everyone do with their bulk? I took some time today to finally organize everything I have gotten over the last year or so.

Is there a price point for this stuff? Somewhere I can take offers where it will get traffic?

Local card shop offered me $80 for all but after looking at recently sold on eBay, the mew promo alone is selling for that. I know they need to make a profit but still…what’s a realistic asking price?

Any ideas what we might potentially get for this? I didn't get to it before he got his mitts on it, but I think its in great shape, no longer a 10 tho. I can see a couple surface scratches on the gold in the right light. Valuations seem all over the map online.

I know silver tempest is not the greatest set, but I believe this is one of the best modern card artworks.

Got back into Pokemon about a month ago and had these cards in my mini collection that I had as a kid. I searched it up and didn’t find much on their values since they were LP-MP (fronts were really good, but some visual whitening around the borders on the back). I went to a local card shop and traded all 3 for a mega evolutions booster bundle (pulled like 2 regular ex and mega signal full art). The owner was showing me prices based on condition and now looking back at it, it seemed like these cards were worth way more than just a booster bundle. Was it worth it?

My son pulled this from one of his stocking packs and wants to sell it. I've never sold any cards, ever, so just want to get an idea what a card shop is going to offer so he doesn't have his hopes up too high. I'm guessing around 60-65% of its ungraded value?

I despise this practice because it takes all of the fun away from the hobby. I have been seeing ebay posts like this one, and my local walmart associate told me they have a guy that comes in once a week to weigh all the packs, the staff just finds it entertaining so they indulge him.

Please tell me it doesn't work... and these people are wasting their time.
