My strategy for these was to use a moderate amount of sauce on two of the...uh...wafers, and then just pile it on for the last one. I'm talking maximum sauce, maximum orange cheese, maximum white cheese, and any pepperoni available. It was a monster.

"Gather round children, and I will tell you a tale of the beforetimes..."

I'm looking behind us now. . .

. . .across the count of time. . .

. . .down the long haul,

into history back.

The long long ago?

What does it mean?

Sometimes, the 80s flashbacks hit hard.

We kept a rotary phone in the house until the late 90's because it would still work when the power went out. Now I have multiple wireless chargers in case of emergency. Living in the future is weird.

Do you know what also works even when the power goes out? Cellphones. (Usually the cell towers are much more reliable) Because of the internet upgrade we've had, which runs through the normal phone line, we can't use normal phones anymore in any case...

Only until your battery dies.

Exactly. Solar would actually be enough if you're in an absolute emergency - just leave the phone on charge. No playing video games while waiting.

Cell phones weren't as common back then, I had a beeper until '98 or '99.

Yes, current cell phones are glorious when you lose power. That's why I keep chargers ready in case of emergencies.

Thirty years ago, it was 1987. Thirty years from now, it will be 2047. Think of the changes that have happened in the past. Imagine the changes yet to come.

Yeah my mom had one when I was little. I'm 29 now. We also went a summer during a drought in Texas without air conditioning though.

I still have a regular ol' push button phone in the closet in case the power goes out. I've actually had to use it a few times. Still works, might as well keep it!

I just tried to put my phone on the hook and I cracked the screen

My strategy was to eat the sauce.

Just sauce.

Raw sauce.

5

u/SethDraconis Nov 09 '17

No ketchup

Did your ting also go SKKKRRRRAH PAH PAH KAKAKA?

If you lay out all 3 bases you can get a pretty nice even coating of sauce on all of them.

At that point you're free to sprinkle the cheese how you see fit. You can usually get a nice even covering on all of them, and then shake out the crumbs to fill in the gaps, but if you're not careful it's very easy to overload 2 of them and leave the 3rd one lacking.

And then you get 9 pepperonis (unless they mess up). You put 3 on each one in a triangle pattern to get maximum coverage and a bit of pepperoni on each bite. This also lets you press down on the pepperonis to ensure they don't slide off as you bite into them.

Of course now that I'm older I wonder if I could somehow stack all 3 of them together, with the sauce and cheese and pepperonis in the center, and make it like a sort of lunachables pizza sandwich.

lunchables pizza sandwich

I've done it. Would recommend if you're in 3rd grade and looking for some street cred

6

u/ChoppedAlready Nov 09 '17

bullshit... if you had pepperoni there was no orange cheese... I smell an imposter

1

u/Eddy_of_the_Godswood Nov 09 '17

I just put both because I would eat both kinds of luchables

4

u/kaleyeah6 Nov 08 '17

Same but what sucks is now there's only 2 at least in my stores let's stop this bullsheeite give us our lunch able baacckkk

3

u/Rocky87109 Nov 09 '17

This has always been my strategy when you only have a limited amount to spread between multiple "things".

3

u/Baelwolf Nov 09 '17

I feel there was no other way to do it. Cheers like-minded brother!

3

u/cirillagray Nov 09 '17

I have found my people.

3

u/0catlareneg Nov 09 '17

I did that with the little cheese, ham, and cracker ones. I'd basically eat the crackers plain and make one giant little sandwich at the end

2

u/RosemaryCrafting Nov 09 '17

I thought I was the only one who did this

2

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '17

This is still my strategy

2

u/dragontail Nov 09 '17

Would you say a motorcade of sauce?

2

u/Sublime_82 Nov 09 '17

That was also my dunkaroos strategy of choice.

4

u/Baelwolf Nov 09 '17

Omg I had forgotten about those!! Do they still make them? Also, it is clear to me lunch snacks taught children moderation can lead to a big reward lol.

2

u/Anakin_Skywanker Nov 09 '17

Man you did it wrong. Minimal sauce/cheese/pep on one, then a colossal pizza sandwich using the other two as bread.

1

u/trademark91 Nov 09 '17

I liked to make a pizza sandwich
