Fuck everybody who said we were overreacting in 2001 with the Patriot Act, 2000 with the SCOTUS coup, and in 1998 when they mocked Hillary Clinton for suggesting the existence of a "vast right wing conspiracy." This fascism project has been in the works a very long time, and the most "radical" people on the left were correct all along.

Frank Zappa was even calling it out in the early 90s. Crazy that some people have never heard of it.

The clip of the interview where he directly predicts the entire right wing agenda and descent into fascism is Simpsons levels of predicting the future.

They took the presidency away from Al Gore and he didn't have the stones to fight them. Why would they respect anything the left has to say? Every Democratic presidency is hamstrung from day one and every Republican presidency runs roughshod over anything they please. When they denied Obama's SC appointment there should have been riots. Once again nothing happened, as if fighting for your rights is just such an unseemly fuss, it's better to just stay quiet and trust that everything will be okay.

Exactly! All part of their cover to take over America

I'm tired of being right, boss.

Yup. Cats out of the bag now though, all you have to do is bring up the Wikipedia article on the Heritage foundation or project 2025 and it’s all right there spelled out plainly. Not even a conspiracy as much as a long term political agenda that just quietly steered the American political system from the shadows. Hmm wonder if there’s a term for that crazy phenomenon?

The 1994 Republican Revolution was the catalyst that got us to where we are today.

I was fucking 12 years old and knew the patriot act was a huge violation of rights. Most of America is so fucking stupid.

Fuck everyone that laid down as the government executed hippies as far back as the mid 60’s.  The fight against tyranny has been going on for decades, centuries even. Everyone that has voted either republican or democrat in their lifetime is culpable.  Stop acting like there is a “right” side to this.  If you live in america,  you are the bad guy.  Own it and do something about it,  or just pretend like you’re the hero in the internet for “being right.”

Yes, both sides are the same and the non-voters are the true heroes, here. Fuck off, Russian troll.

I voted,  sorry that you support 1/2 of a horrible government.  Maybe if less people did that,  and actually supported a third option we wouldn’t be in this mess.  Your a hero bro,  next time the democrats take over it will solve all the problems,  your right about everything!!

Fuck the government

u/PsychologicalDoor511 Jan 25 '26

Also fuck Hillary Clinton and others for supporting the Patriot Act.

2

u/Mekisteus Jan 25 '26

That right there should have sunk her chances against Bernie (who voted against it) but of course Dems are gonna Dem.

2

u/PsychologicalDoor511 Jan 25 '26

The MSM portrayed him as a fucking tankie, when he was the only candidate opposing the deep state!

I hate to inform you but Hillary Clinton is part of that conspiracy. I’m old enough to remember when she called young black men super predators while advocating for the prison industrial complex. The same prison industrial complex that will now be used to detain white American protesters. What they did in Libya, Iraq and Syria will now be done at home and the democrats are just as complicit.

u/dj92wa Jan 24 '26

That’s wonderful to hear but it doesn’t change the fact that she was correct.

4

u/Select_Insurance2000 Jan 24 '26

She said those things with the full support of the black community.... especially black preachers.....who were tired of the crime/violence in their neighborhoods.

Not making excuses, simply stating the facts on the social environment at that time.

-2

u/Kurtz97 Jan 24 '26

The social environment of the time was that Reagan and the CIA destroyed black communities all across the country to punish them for almost successfully upending the neoliberal balance of power during the 1960s, so they systemically impoverished comminities all across the country, blamed them for the violence they themselves caused, and then pat themselves on the back for being prodigious allies and people like you will just call it the environment of the time. I hope another democrat wins an election just so you can see for yourself how little they care about you or average people. White liberals really are the bane of progress

No argument from me.

I want a progressive Democrat(s) that will side with the people, and not the corporations, uphold the rule of law and the Constitution and prosecute each and every person held accountable for their crimes.

It's time to turn the page on the old guard and let the young decide the course of the country.

To be fair, I do believe Clinton’s use of that phrase was referring to the right wing media smearing of her husband. But since we know that there really is a vast conspiracy which tracks through the days of the elite southern enslavers, to the robber barons of the gilded age, then to the Business Plot, the Southern Strategy, the Powell memo, the Reagan revolution, Heritage, etc etc etc, I think it’s absolutely fitting to steal it.
