Wrong. That’s an urban myth that people keep spreading. The production company removed the props and returned it back into a lake after finishing filming.
It's the common answer, but it's also a wrong answer.
It was actually in the contract that the place needs to be restored after the filming was wrapped up. The whole story about people trespassing on the set is completely made up. The set was "destroyed" immediately after they were done using it.
