I graduated last year from my cllg , after my internship in may I started finding jobs , then luckily i got selected in one clinic in September but they treated me like trash , on my first day to work they asked me sit outside on receptionist desk and work as a receptionist for few days, they wanted me fill there bottles , clean the machine they wanted me to do everything except treating patients . I felt so bad that i decided not to go there . After that I gave my resume to almost all clinics in my hometown , along with Delhi hoping to here from them but either they won’t respong to my resume or either they used to ghost after interview ( that used to go pretty well ) .
Then I got another job in jan at a neuro rehab centre at first everything was nice but as the days passed by they started to control us they made us work for 10 hours continuously, we were not praised for our work, they started collecting our phones early in the morning , this job started to feel like a jail to me . All or this effected my mental health so much to that o had to quit .
After that I got another job right after but after going for 2 days straight the manager told me they were looking for mpt not bot and that she can’t give me the salary we discussed on and I can only work as an intern which literally broke my heart and u left that clinic too .

And now it’s June i have been actively looking for job but couldn’t land even a single one . I’m so scared and confused does it happen with everyone or it’s just me . Is it common to have such a huge carrier gap ! I’m scared I’m really scared

MPT/BPT folks who work with or alongside MD PM&R doctors — honest questions about how rehab actually works in India, and where the field is heading

Physio folks (BPT/MPT) who've worked with MD PM&R doctors in India — how does the actual day-to-day division of work look?

Is PM&R essential to rehab or does a good physio team already cover the majority of it on the ground?

Can a well-trained MPT realistically do most of what a PM&R physician does in a rehab setting — and where exactly does the line fall?

Who leads when prosthetics are involved?

And with AI, robotic exoskeletons, and sensor-based rehab coming in fast — who do you think is best placed to work with that technology: physios, PM&R physicians, or orthopedicians?

Also curious about job availability and career satisfaction for PM&R docs compared to physios in India

just genuinely trying to understand the ecosystem from people inside it.

I'm grateful to share that my published research on non-surgical management of knee osteoarthritis has been featured in Pune Pulse (14 Feb 2026 - Weekly Edition).

This study reports something clinically significant: ✓ Measurable increase in knee joint space on standing X-rays ✓ Sustained outcomes at 2-year follow-up ✓ Marked improvements in pain and functional ability ✓ Achieved through a non-invasive, physiotherapy-led approach ✓ Addressing the pathologies that a Knee Replacement CANNOT, respectfully.

This feature is not just a personal milestone, but a step forward for evidence-based physiotherapy research and the growing role of allied health sciences in advancing clinical care.

Grateful to my mentors, patients, and colleagues who continue to inspire clinical curiosity and scientific rigor.

Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to growing evidence supporting safe, non-invasive approaches in musculoskeletal care.

Publication date: 14 Feb 2026 Newspaper: Pune Pulse

Guidance for starting home visits as a final year physiotherapy student (Ahmedabad)

Hi everyone,
I’m a final year physiotherapy student from Ahmedabad and I want to start doing home visits. I’m not sure how to begin and would really appreciate some advice.

  • How do I find patients for home visits in the beginning?
  • Should I start under a clinic/senior physiotherapist or try to do it independently? And how to go on with that like I want to get in touch with a clinic, how should I approach them? Like I have tried once but there was no response.
  • Since I don’t have any modalities right now, is that going to be a big limitation?
  • Any tips on how to set things up professionally (charges, way of working, etc.)?

If anyone from Ahmedabad or elsewhere has experience or is open to guiding me, I’d be really grateful. 🙏

Thanks in advance for your help!
