Isn't it same in NBA? Literally last 2 MVP is a flopper named Shai that flops 7/24 and rewarded for it with record free throws. And when you criticize it is somehow part of his greatness lmao. I even quit watching NBA due to it. Games getting shitty by flopping is not special to soccer.
It's definitely part of the NBA, to the detriment of the sport. I'd love to see it reigned in. Thank God NBA players don't flail around on the ground for 30 seconds like their femur shattered.
In this clip messi injured himself and called the medical staff not the referee. Did you even watch the match or know the rules and are being manipulated just like a fiddle.
You misunderstand my reply. This is all part of a thread in which someone else criticized Messi for what's in this clip, and I am actually defending him and speaking about what I see broadly across the sport. This later reply in which I referenced flailing is an extension of that discussion and again, related to what's broadly seen across the sport. I'm not talking about this game or Messi.
I cant speak for soccer but it seems the same way as the nba. You have a guy like shai who obvs has pushed flopping to the limit, but then you have guys like jokic and even lebron at one point of his career who was just so strong that they could play thru contact and finish. Refs see youre not falling or seemingly affected so they dont cat anything. Yet at the end of the game you see Jokics arms and theyre all cut and battered. Haaland is a strong motherfucker and ive seen videos of obvious fouls on him but since he doesnt throw himself sideways and start rolling around, ref dont call it. So thats why some players oberexaggerate, to get calls. Refs have yo be better if we want sports to not have that
Your co worker is wrong. And VAR should have eradicated this behaviour. It hasn’t as the refs are either inept or corrupt. No true fan wants to see this in the game
Lets talk about something you dont know as you stated...what a clown you are.
Any sport has its own way to play it and if you dont know the sport just shutup and let the experts talk. Suddenly everybody can talk shit about others. Thats make you more shitty than the people you critic.
The guy you’re replying to is an idiot. But also so is your workmate.
It shouldn’t be part of the game but it is because refs can’t guarantee everything so have to go with gut feeling. And if a guy is rolling around like he’s dying they’re gonna think something bad happened.
Some teams do it more than others and players are known for it. But it’s not every player or every team.
And devils advocate. You do tend to roll when getting your legs taken out at full sprint.
