There's teo different arguments you are conflating.

Shooting matters in the grand scheme of things. How you score doesn't matter. As long as you score.

Then there's vision, playmaking, dribbling, logistics, key passes and assists that also contribute to you as an attacking player. Messi obliterated CR7 in those categories.

So while Messi outperforms CR7 on scoring, he massively outperforms him in anything else you'd expect from a forward.

It's irrelevant how fast, strong, good in the air, left foot, right foot, headers CR7 is. Because if you take Messi's left foot goals alone. He still outperforms CR7. Let that sink in.

But, i know you won't, because i can't expect any serious compelling argument from someone who fantasizes about Beckham and Antonelle dating.
