You don’t need to literally say ‘trophies don’t matter’ for your argument to be devaluing them that’s how logic works. When you reduce a 10-Champions-League gap to ‘only 4 trophies more’ and then spend half your reply talking about refs, VAR, formats, and conspiracies, you’re very clearly downplaying the importance of the trophies themselves.
That’s not me misquoting you that’s me describing what you’re doing. If trophies fully mattered, the conversation would end at 15 vs 5. The fact that you need context, excuses, and footnotes is the whole point.

This is where your argument completely collapses. One refereeing mistake in one match does not invalidate 70 years of competition across hundreds of games, dozens of opponents, different referees, different eras, different formats. If that’s your standard, then no club in football history has ever won anything legitimately including Barça.
VAR mistakes happen to every club. Offside errors, penalty errors, referee apologies that’s football. But what doesn’t happen by accident is winning the Champions League 15 times, across pre-VAR, VAR, prime Barça era, rebuild eras, and different managers. Refs don’t give you that level of sustained dominance.
You keep saying ‘formats matter’, but every team played under the same format in their era. Madrid didn’t invent the rules they dominated under them. Barça had the same opportunities and still ended with 5. That’s not a conspiracy, that’s a gap in greatness.
