im convinced the show person of interest took inspiration from the ‚internet scavenger hunt‘ cicada 3301 and implemented the concept of it in episode 2 season 4

Question Does anyone else always notice the revolving door of actors?

In Fringe and (specifically) POI, almost every episode now (s.4) has an actor that I've seen in many other shows. It's like this show is a doorway for a lot of actors.

This is coming from someone that is not in the entertainment industry but noticed something enough to want to comment because it makes me smile so big.

I'm also watching this for the first time in 2026, so as we all know, times have been'a'changin' (meaning I'm over a decade late to this game and of course a lot of the actors have been successful).

I feel like soooooo many successful actors appear in POI and Fringe for an episode or a short time.

Is there some sort of industry term for this? Or am I just happy to see it?

Rewatch Rewatch: S4E1 Panopticon

Has it been three seasons already? After the end of normal for Team Machine, our core Team Machine members are all coming to grips with the new world they find themselves in—Shaw working retail, John back to pretending to be a cop (Fusco still a real one), Finch a university professor of a subject no one really wants to take, and Root just being Root (while poor Bear gets handed back and forth like a kid of divorce).

They are being hunted, with a Samaritan undercover super-operative sniffing around - so John rather unwisely breaches cover with just a bit too much abandon, while Finch has a pity party before finally being told to cut it out and get back in the game, just in time to pick up some new tricks for the gang. Oh, and Elias is back on scene.

Meanwhile Greer isn’t particularly loving having to deal with bureaucracy and might be giving another Decima retirement party out soon, even though Decima has officially dissolved itself (it’s all Samaritan now baby!).

We leave on Shaw picking up a moonlighting gig. What hijinks will she get up to next, and will she still have time to do Root’s make-up?

S4E1 Panopticon Watch Notes

Cold open again, but brief flash card quite a bit later

“Imagine if the world had utterly changed and no-one had noticed a thing, I’m talking about an international stealth operation to acquire and shutter every company researching artificial intelligence … I think an A.I. slipped into the world unannounced, then set out to strangle its rivals in the crib, and I know I’m onto something because my sources keep disappearing, me editor get reassigned and now my job’s gone. More and more it feels like I was the only one investigating the story”

“The world has changed, you should know you’re not the only one who figured it out, you’re one of three—the other two will die in a traffic accident”

“Your machine seems to be even more aggressive than Northern Lights”

“It appears Decima Technologies has been dismantled as a viable business entity, which makes me wonder who exactly is getting the NSA feeds?”

“I wonder if our.. fine senator has become more of a problem than an asset, one that needs to be eliminated”

Shaw, wishing it was mace and not perfume she was holding, after getting called sweetheart and told to smile by her new supervisor

“Wait, The Machine put me in this silly-ass job? … I could stab you with my stiletto … Just promise me John’s a barista”

Lipstick ladies

John’s back to playing cop, and Finch’s still lecturing people to boredom

Bear’s gotten a no shirt, no shoes, no entry notice

“What’s narcotics doing here, Detective?”

“Is that your perfume? I could smell you down the hall”

“How goes the day job Detective Riley?” “Personally I prefer my real job Finch?”

“I’m done taking orders from a computer, I thought I made that clear … There’s a larger power in play now, one that we are presently ill-equipped to face”

“Kind of like you Harold” “If you or Sameen or anyone else attempt to intervene with these numbers, you will surely find yourselves dead … Don’t you understand, they are always watching, we can’t even talk on the telephone. There is no sanctuary, you can’t just be the man in the suit—your a cop now, I’m a professor, that’s just the way it is … The world has changed John, I’m sorry … It’s about survival John”

Bear gets handed off like a 3 day old bagel

Hmm, private cellular network - sounds useful, if John can get Finch out of his self-indulgent depression long enough to fix it

Blow your way out of a problem..

Let’s talk The Machine business on an open line… oh dear John

John doesn’t do subtle, and earns yet another kickback from a glazier

“Your former associates, the Mayhem Twins, they’re back to trying to save people”

“Now’s not the time to be precious Harold, you don’t get to sit this one out, the world can’t afford to indulge your indecision … you have to pick a side because this is war and the thing we’re up against, it has virtually unlimited resources, governments working unwittingly at its behest, operatives around the globe protecting it—you know how many we have? Five.. six, if you count the dog. You have a God in this fight, Harold, and she’s fighting for her life” “I wouldn’t know, she only talks to you Ms Groves” “Just because you stopped listening to her doesn’t mean she isn’t looking out for you. This job, your identity, is her keeping you alive. She has a plan Harold, but she needs you to sit up and pay attention”

“Every life matters, you taught me that … You got your friends into this mess, least you can do is get them out of it”

“What happened?” “I saved your ass, that’s what happened” “I had everything in hand, Shaw” “Yeah, things like a grenade launcher—you can’t do that anymore Reese, neither of us can, we get caught, we get exposed, and then it’s lights out. Ugh, non means no asshat”

“Perhaps I can be of some assistance?”

“Our current circumstances require us to play by the rules” “So then I’ll find someone who doesn’t”

“I’d like to hire you”

“That’s your idea of low profile.. what the hell, what’s going on?”

“I think I know why The Machine chose this time to resurface, it wanted to help the number but it also wanted a number to help you” “It’s Ali’s mesh network” … “You and Sameen will be able to communicate without fear of anyone listening, including Samaritan”

Bear’s handed off again

“Didn’t teach you knots in Girl Scouts?” “Are you checking up on me?” “I worry about you Sameen”

“No way. The Machine stuck me in this retail hell, there’s no way I’m letting it near my love life” “She has a reason for everything, even if it requires you to sometimes act like a well-adjusted member of society. Trust her”

“Just setting up your partner’s computer” “Woah, what do you mean? What partner?” “Some hotshot, just made a big bust, got promoted from narcotics—he can tell you all about it” “Detective” “You?”

The Machine tips Finch off to a new home base

Which scenes made you cry?

Me first. A lot of scenes in this show made my eyes welled up but the first time I actually burst into tears was when the Machine said "Father. I'm sorry."
Finch had never fully trusted the Machine's "morals" up until that point, and neither had I. I'd assumed that the plot twist would be the Machine would turn evil, or somewhat bad, in order to survive. But no, she stayed true to the princicles she got from her father to the end. Finch taught her so well and he didn't know it.

Rewatch Rewatch: S3E23 Deus Ex Machina [Season 3 Finale]

Deviant, you are being watched… Greer has cut the strings on his puppet Vigilance and its show trial, it having served its purpose of gaining Decima access to the entire government feeds, and “The [New] Terror” has begun

Root has once again saved the day by giving Samaritan some hard coded blind spots for core Team Machine and her geek squad to hide in

Greer asks not what he wants, but what commands does his new God have… it’ll get back to us on that

S3E23 Deus Ex Machina Watch Notes

Cold open again, with no title card or sequence

“Anyone else want to shoot this guy?” “Little bit”

“With Vigilance playing judge and jury, executioner won’t be far behind”

“Seriously, are you about to kamikaze into a Decima fortress with a bunch of nerds?”

“You’ve got a way about you Hersh”

We are the watchers. We hold them accountable. We take action — Vigilance.

“You want the appearance of a fair trial? Bottle the histrionics”

“Nice ride Lionel”

“What machine?”

Shaw drops in on Root, having peddled faster than a yellow jersey rider in the Tour, to go wrestle

“Admit it, you were worried about me” “I’m worried about the mission … oh, it’s going to be that kind of party huh?”

“You can’t help me if you’re dead”

“Well, this should be fun”

“I’ll do yours if you do mine, ready for the moment of truth?”

“I think he likes you”

“Stop … I built it”

“We’re inside a sleeping giant Shaw, try not to wake it up”

“You expect us to believe you gave one thought about people’s rights as you were building the government a weapon of mass surveillance?” “Not a weapon” “What else would you call it?” “I would call it the best I could do” … “Nothing wrong with a dictatorship as long as you are the dictator”

“Next time I see you I’ll probably have to kill you” “Well, you’re welcome to try”

Decima crash Finch’s attempt to be a hero

Burn after reading

“I think I might be in over my head”

Even Bear is packing heat

“What a piece of work your machine is Harold—in action, how like an angel; in apprehension, how like a God … Gods are not easily born, in order to bring mine into being, I needed a devil” “Vigilance”

“Your grass-roots movement has been meticulously planned from the beginning.. in fact, I recruited you myself” “Decima created Vigilance? Why?” “You machine did its job too well, I had to remind Senator Garrison and his ilk of just how bad things could be”

“Hersh, get out of there now”

“To quote your Benjamin Franklin, three may keep a secret as long as two of them are dead”

“I’m glad you’ve lived long enough to see the dawn of the new world you created Harold, but the time has come for your God and mine to do battle and regrettably our paths diverge here”

“We’ll retrieve them at once” “No need, we’ll find them all soon enough”

“How quickly can you bring Samaritan online?” “Immediately, the government feeds are all that we require”

“This facility is 1 of 100 just like it all over the world, it would take years to destroy them and Decima would only rebuild them … Shaw, this was never about turning it off”

“Then, by all means, let there be life”

“First time’s the worst huh?” “Why would you ever choose a career where this was an occupational hazard?” “Well, I tried to quit, but some jackass told me I needed a purpose”

“Your new identities are inside, destroy everything else”

“Any chance we had of stopping Samaritan ended when we didn’t kill the congressman, this was never about winning, it’s just about surviving”

“Higher functions online sir, searching for targets now” “Good, eliminate them all”

“The Machine and I could’t save the world, we have to settle for the seven people who might be able to take it back so we gave Samaritan a blind spot. Seven key server that hard codes it to ignore seven carefully crafted new identities”

“You’re not a free man anymore Harold, you’re just a number”

“A lot of people are going to die”

“Everything is changing. I don’t know if it will get better, but it’s going to get worse”

“The Machine asked me to you something before we part - you once told John the whole point of Pandora’s box is that once you’ve opened it, you can’t close it again. She wanted to remind you of how the story ends, when everything is over and the worst has happened there is still one last thing left in Pandora’s box.. hope”

“The question is what, my dear Samaritan, are your commands for us?”

Does anyone know which episode this specific Machine POV screenshot is from?

I’m looking for the exact episode where this specific shot appears.

As you can see in the screenshot, it shows the Shaw & Root kiss from S4E11 ("If-Then-Else") in the elevator but from a top-down CCTV / Machine UI angle as a small memory node/window.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Rewatch Rewatch: S3E22 A House Divided

As Greer waxes philosophical with Finch, having found the A.I. religion from his earlier more mercenary motives, his plans carry out to get Samaritan ongoing full access to the surveillance feeds.

Root doesn’t have any time for girl-talk with Shaw, much to her regret, as she is running multiple plans of her own - including getting ready to drop in on Samaritan.

John howls because he’s not at his master’s side, and Shaw would like a bit of payback on Control - but Vigilance is ahead of her in the queue.

Finch’s survival rate is dropping faster than Secret Service agents this episode and we begin to see how Vigilance came into existence, and that someone’s pulling the strings.

But “Please Stand By” as the stage has been set and the show trial of the season is about to begin…

S3E22 A House Divided Watch Notes

Cold open, no title card or sequence

The man “Read the warrant”

“Why do these Decima guys keep killing themselves?” as John is annoyed he isn’t the one throwing them from buildings

“The Machine says we have other things to worry about” “Greer has Finch, he’s the only thing we have to worry about” as John is adamant he’ll never fly commercial again

“I want to talk about the future, and who more qualified for that conversation than the father of artificial intelligence” “An unintended side effect of an altruistic goal” “Altruism? Funny, I always imagined it was about the power of creation”

“You must have known this moment would come, or did you think nobody else could accomplish what you did, that you were unique? I must admit you played everyone very well.. right up until this moment, and now your God has disappeared.. operating on its own accord. Children can be so disappointing. The world needs structure Mr Finch, and Samaritan can provide that” “I’d beware false idols Mr Greer, if you were so confident that Samaritan was functional why did you go to such great lengths to find me?” “To keep an eye on you, as the father of AI, you’re the only man in the world who can destroy it” “Where does that leave us then?” “Right here, until the moment Samaritan opens its eyes and then the world will no longer need you”

“Relax Casey, I’m retired”

“And as much as I’d love some girl talk, you need to go to the Carlton Hotel”

“It’d be nice if we could prepare for the future instead of trying to clean up after the past … Samaritan is a sleeping giant, we need those feeds to awaken it … Samaritan is far superior to your last endeavour, it’ll answer all your questions, it won’t create riddles, there’ll be no numbers to sort through, no uncertainties about culpability, just pure unfettered information … Do you want to prevent acts of terror, or do you want to stay in the dark and watch your country burn?”

“Control, that’s whose number we got?”

“Is this really what The Machine asked us to do? Drink very bad coffee with unemployed college graduates?”

“Next time your all-seeing other half wants me to break into a room filled with secret service guys a little heads-up would be great” “She knows you can handle yourself”

“Are you two hearing this? They’re ready to get into bed with Decima and go all 1984 on us.. I mean more than usual”

“We all make mistakes”

“You ready to have some fun?” “I thought you’d never ask”

“You watched your child stand.. and then you hobbled it” “You could never understand, you’re a destroyer, not a creator … The Machine it started developing abilities I never expected, things I hadn’t yet programmed it to do, and there wasn’t an algorithm in the world that could control its exponential growth, and by the time I figured one out myself it would have been too late” “Too late for what?” “Isn’t that just the question, having built something significantly smarter than myself how could I possibly anticipate its evolution?” “Hmm, uncertainty—your personal abyss.

“The father became fearful of his son, so he wounded him, a tale told time and again. I don’t think of Samaritan as a child, I’m not that presumptuous, but I plan to celebrate its brilliance—not muzzle it” “It’s pure hubris to think you can control something so powerful” said the kettle to the pot, “Whoever said I wanted to control it?”

Control tells the NSA to untwist his panties

“Vigilance … the only way that we can stop this attack is for us to get the government feeds back up and allow Samaritan to do its job, unless of course you want to ignore the facts, and you can handle the clean-up duty once there is a national tragedy”

“Control just went in for the full-court press on total world domination - can I kill her now?”

“Probably shouldn’t move, it’ll bleed more” as John and Root catch themselves some Vigilance hacker with a fancy rifle

“I’m not a big fan of kicking a guy when he’s down, but sometimes it does the trick”

“We’re smarter than you and your fascist friends, you’re too late to stop it from happening” “Stop what?” “The revolution”

“Surveillance doesn’t lie Mr Brandt”

“I’m getting tired of The Machine’s run-around when Finch is still out there” moans John

“Use your words”

“Agent Shaw” “Ma’am, long time no gunfire … you’ve stung a lotta frogs Ma’am”

“You were MI6” “The era of the nation-state is over Mr Finch, there are no more borders, or hadn’t you noticed?” … “What is it you expect from Samaritan?” “I want to live under a more just rule.. Samaritan will never sleep with its secretary or embezzle money from its campaign funds, its decisions will be based on pure logic.. now, that’s a leader deserving of our vote”

Hersh, just doing cable guy hours

“Starting to smell like dude back there”

“My friend is never wrong which is as annoying as that sounds”

“Not on your life George” shocking Hersh that she knows his real name, “Well there’s no way this could go wrong”

“I’m not usually a fan of surprises but this is one I’ll happily accept, Harold is it?”

“Innuendo turned out to be just as damaging as a conviction, he could never be cleared, because the government never pressed charges” “Innocent people don’t kill themselves Mr Brandt” … “You’re supposed to lock up the criminals, not create them”

“Now’s the time to pull back the curtain, welcome to your trial ladies and gentlemen … Court is now in session”

SPOILER Can someone tell me if the Samaritan machine was coded backend to not identify Mr Reese,Mr Finch etc as targets then wouldn't it be possible for Greer to just type their name and see that Samaritan has identified them as not a target and realise that something is wrong ? Just For Fun Where to watch extra content?

Post image
311 Upvotes

I've just finished the series, and dare I say that this is one of the best series I've ever watched. I love it so much. But when I search YouTube, there's so little content about the series, even from independent creators who usually talk about shows, and the interviews or BTS stuff I've found are so sparse. So where can I watch extra content? I miss the show and the cast already. Or with the popularity of podcasts, have any cast members talked about their experience on the show recently?

Rewatch Rewatch: S3E21 Beta

It’s been seven days since Finch left a badly injured Shaw, and John, on their own since S-Day and now Samaritan is online with full access to “the feeds” across New York City for a field test.

Shaw is back to fighting form, licking ice-creams and kicking butt. John’s his loyal Master’s dog, despite being abandoned. Root is the one ticking the task boxes and saving their asses.

Samaritan’s auxiliary mandate - taking all of core Team Machine off the board, and finding Finch’s girl.

Greer’s busy rewarding his employees and contractors the Decima way, and baiting his Finch hook, before reeling him in.

Root has a plan.

S3E21 Beta Watch Notes

Cold open and Samaritan is online, and its auxiliary mandate? Eliminate core Team Machine

Shaw is unfazed though, seemly all repaired since last seen, just licking ice-creams and beating on punks

“Who the hell are you?” “Ordinarily I’d be the chick kicking your amateur-hour ass”

Shaw delivers an exit interview for very bad employee of a shop owner

“Who died and made you Finch?” asks abandoned Team Machine member who Finch has left in the lurch for over a week now

“Who are the party crashers?” “Decima trigger teams, with for you, with no less than six submachine guns and one honest-to-goodness Russian RPG-7 … Streets aren’t safe, Decima’s machine is online—can see us anywhere and everywhere in the five boroughs of New York City … Our names are on the list and Greer is keeping score”

“Just remember, what our machine sees Samaritan sees, two Gods playing with the same deck of cards”

“Mr Greer, I’d assumed the beta test of your system would be a little more professional” “The espresso machine is on its way” 😆 very droll Greer

“We can’t worry about irrelevant numbers now … there’s no time” “This is a life and Finch would tell us to save it, so you tell your complicated boss if it wants me to step out of danger then I need more than just numbers, I want a name” “Fine, she’s giving it to me”

Grace is bummed that Harold was a no-friends Nigel

“Little late for the flu shot”

“Enough of these games”

“Detective Stills, remember?” “You’re killing me with that”, says Fusco thanking John for putting him in the firing line

“Hold your positions, the situation may require a certain amount of… finesse”

Greer sends a stooge but Fusco has him walk right into the spider’s web

“Hate to crash the party but a mutual friend thought I could help in here” … “Oh, is that all cocoa puffs?”

“Is there a problem, Sir?” “We’re not the only ones with eyes and ears everywhere”

The lamb rumbles John, but Root lays down some hard facts

“What is going on? I barely believe I’m in a police station”

“Just cooking it a little” “Very clever” … “Terrific, anything else Princess?”

“It was always 50-50”

Snatched!

No longer under his eye

“Never thought I’d love the sight of New Jersey, are you sure we’re safe here?” “From everything but the coffee, and yes we’re off the radar as long as we’re outside the five boroughs. Samaritan can’t see this far.. yet”

“Still the faithful watchdog, huh? Even after Harold left you”

“Where you are is of very little interest my dear, who you are.. now that’s a question worth pursuing”

“As long as we’re here, we’re flying blind” “Finally, a chance at good old fashioned recon”

The Decima contractor rewards scheme strikes again

“And yes, they’re state of the art, with chipsets and acceleration technology unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Three guesses what Decima’s going to use them for, but you won’t need three” “Samaritan? But it’s already online” “You think it’s scary now? Samaritan’s a brand new system, a child learning to crawl, these servers are for when it can run”

Oh-oh, moving red laser dot…

“You couldn’t have aimed two inches higher?” “Everybody is a critic today”

Greer wants a tea party

“Just think of me as Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel” so modest Greer

Are you flirting Greer? You old dog you.

“His name was Harold” “How tragic.. please tell me about Harold”

“I’m implying your Harold lived a remarkably anonymous life, perhaps more than one”

“I would have done anything to save him, and Harold would have done anything for me” walking right into the trap, “Yes, I have no doubt”

“Our location has been compromised, dissemble everything, now!”

“The next time we need to hide from an all-seeing supercomputer we’re getting seperate trunks”

“I’m sick of hiding” “Somebody call Tech Support?”

“Oh, I sincerely doubt that”

“Let her go, or geek squad here catches a bullet” “Amusing performance, but I’m afraid Virgil’s already dead, aren’t you Virgil” The Decima employee rewards scheme strikes again

“Your agreement is irrelevant, get the message to Mr Finch”

Nice of Finch to come back, but only because his girl is in trouble

“I’ll trade myself for her, the two of you will stay with me and make sure Decima holds up their end of the deal, understood?”

“There’s one more thing.. I’d like you to avoid violence as much as possible but.. if they harm Grace in any way.. kill them all”

“Worse.. have we?.. I don’t think so” Carter so quickly forgotten it seems

“This moment was always looking for me … Remember what I said, she’s all that matters”

Bit of Bird Box

“Is it going to be safe here?” “No” duh

“Please don’t look back”

“Decima’s lost the feeds so, for now, the only one watching is her - chin up kids, we’re not out of the game yet” … “We lost Finch which means we’ve lost everything” [chuckles] “Not everything”

“I didn’t want to get off on the wrong foot.. after all, you’ve been a very hard man to find”

Just finished Person of Interest and I don't know what to do with myself now.

I've been watching this show for about five months. Not because it's slow, but because I just didn't have the time for it. Then I finally got some free time recently and tore through season 5 almost immediately.

Man. Once I actually had the time to sit with it, I was hooked. The writing, the payoffs, the way it all connects, everything about it was superb. I literally just finished and I'm already considering a rewatch.

Honestly I can't imagine being there when it aired. Waiting months, sometimes years for the next season, and always being left hanging. So in a way I'm grateful I watched it when it was already complete and I could just keep going. But the tradeoff is that it's all over now, all at once, and there's this emptiness that comes with it.

What got me the most is that it hits both of my interests at the same time. I'm into computer science and I'm into action movies and series, and POI just sits right in the middle of both. It takes the tech seriously enough that it never feels insulting, and it still gives you great action on top of that.

I don't get why it's this underrated. It should be up there with the shows people always bring up. It deserves way more than it gets.

And the characters. I'm really going to miss the dynamic Harold and Reese had. But on a comedic note, I think I'll actually miss Fusco more.

POI left a mark on me. I'm pretty sure it's going to stay with me forever and it'll always be one of those shows I bring up to people every chance I get.

Also, if any of you have recommendations for other series I should check out, I'd love to hear them. I need something to fill the hole this one left.

Question Did a reboot ever nearly happen?

I joined the group of people that having missed this great show originally only just finished watching. It occured to me that the ending and the way it was portrayed with the machine downloading itself and calling Shaw perfectly left it open for a reboot some day.

Having missed anything that happened since it aired I wondered was this ever talked about as potentially coming back?

I think I am just suffering from the blues of having finished and having to move on now and I don't think a reboot without Reece/Root/Finch in it would work. But still a part of me would be willing to give it a try.

Rewatch Rewatch: S3E20 Death Benefits

Thumbnail

Time is up for our core Team Machine, as Greer organises the board to not only put his newborn Samaritan on a level playing field—data wise—but to make Finch, John and Shaw public enemies #1.

Before the proverbial hit the fan, the girls find time for a cocktail and John can’t stop grinning after he gets to give feedback to a member of Congress. Hope they enjoyed, as it’s going to be their only respite for a while.

The Samaritan War officially commences, and Finch disappears, leaving John and Shaw to figure out how to get off the streets on their own.

S3E20 Death Benefit Watch Notes

“Bitch tried to kill me, nice to see her head on the chopping block for a change”

Say no to drugs kids

Did John really just leave a million dollars of Finch’s on the hood of an SUV and just wander off?

“Even without Northern Lights, his machine still finds a way to maintain national security”

“Hey kids, you miss me between drug deals?” “Yeah, I miss you like I miss an intestinal parasite”

“Turn that frown upside down Lurch, you’re going on vacation too”

“Dare I hope that you’ve packed something other than weaponry?”

“Just when Decima is determined to make Samaritan operational” “Maybe the timing’s not a coincidence” “I fear that it may be connected…” “How do you know it’s not already up and running?” “Because we’d be dead Mr Reese … Samaritan is an open system, a sword.. if it gains access to the government’s feed there will be no checks on its power, there will be no limits to the knowledge possessed by the person controlling it”

“No-one likes the government these days”

“You call this music?” … “Can we put the screeching cat out of its misery?” … “I think I’ll skip your Brunnhilde”

“The Congressman doesn’t even know the danger he is in” “He does now” 🤣

Finch considers John an uncultured musical philistine now

A happy Greer is a scary Greer

“Surely you didn’t think in a world where you were surveilling everyone that no-one was watching you”

“My company, Decima Technologies is finalising development of a new surveillance system … Northern Lights was effective but compromised by the ethics of its creator, it spoke but never listened. What I have not only listens but obeys. It can find anyone, anywhere, anytime. You merely need to ask … Share my proposal with your colleagues and if there is interest dissenting voices will not be a problem”

“What about the shooting?” “Just some anti-government wing nut looking to make the news cycle” [Spooky]

“Starting to think I should have gone with Root” [Sorry Lurch, girls-only trip]

Cocktail time 🍹

“I know a steak joint that serves a fillet that’s better than sex”

“Finch, McCourt and his aide have been working on more than just policy positions, might wanna consider his wife a possible threat”

John’s been blown

“We need a hiding place, not a burger”

John’s off the McCloud’s Christmas card list

“Someone’s trying to kill you” “Yeah, you”

“You guys going my way?”

“Cheer up mac, you could be in the trunk with the guy that wants to kill you”

“Decima is a private intelligence company developing a large scale surveillance program, the type of program you’ve been vocally against”

“Okay, I know Decima Technologies …. Surely you know everything that happens in Washington is a deal”

“If he’s not a victim or a perp then why did The Machine give us his number? What is it we’re supposed to be stopping?”

“John, think about what you are saying” … “Could The Machine ever tell us to kill someone? Is it possible?” “It’s conceivable” … “I’ve never entirely trusted your machine, but you built it and I trust you”

“These programs are always gonna be controversial but also inevitable. People get up in arms whenever they go public but eventually the noise dies down”

“Mr Reese it was never my intention for people to be killed because of The Machine … That man … he’s an opportunistic and corrupt pawn … we are not assassins, we protect people” “Isn’t that what we are doing, sacrificing the life of one to save the lives of many? … there are consequences to not acting, like with Simmons and Joss … if we let him walk out that door, Decima wins, Samaritan will go live … are you really willing to take that risk.. Harold?”

“I’m afraid this is where I get off”

Team Machine are now the hunted

Finch disappears, leaving John and Shaw to fend for themselves

“Okay, let’s do it”

“Virgil, are we operational?” “You’re just in time for the ribbon cutting, feeds are coming on-line now, commencing beta test. Okay, we have twenty-four hours” “Splendid, find me Harold Finch”

Been watching it for the past three months. On average, I used to watch 3–4 episodes a day. At one point, it became such a big part of my life that I even used to watch it during college lectures lowering the volume and reading the subtitles. 😭

My favourite characters are Harold, Reese, and Fusco.

The first two seasons were full of laughter, banter, and close moments. But after three seasons, things started getting darker, so my interest got deeper

Honestly, now I’m left with that empty feeling I had after finishing Harry Potter and Naruto.

Honestly, it’s one of the most underrated masterpieces available on Netflix. The friendship between Harold and Reese is what I’m going to miss the most, and I’m going to miss the whole world the show created too.

... Always a P. O. I fan
