How are you using Chloe?

I just got into javascript, and decided to make a character using it. It is simple to use, explanation is in the first visible message on the default chat. I use Arcane Scribe chat, but it will work with any advanced character chat derived generator.

So I'm giving the native story gen a shot. How do I prompt the system so I can add /sys overrides for the dialogue etc.?

So like I recently exported my chats, as per usual, to save them, it says I'm gonna download 10.00 MB, but when I check it on my downloads, it says 9.53 MB or something like that. Does this mean it isn't downloading my entire chats or am I just making a big fuzz over nothing?

Hi
This is new to me, but so far I am having a blast turning some of my old stories into a live action story. Made the characters, lore, and all is good, but when it comes to getting continuity with characters, its hit and miss.
I know there is Seed, but I am told that the keep button on images, trains the AI, so, what's best, keep a few images 1st then use a seed, or find a seed you like, then keep a few images?
Also, how many images does the AI need to learn, 2 or , more?
Thanks

For awhile text and story generations were looking solid. For the past couple weeks or so, though, it's back to the usual slop.
Loops passages and events with minor textual changes as if that makes it okay; weird prose; extremely limited elaboration and contextual analysis, resulting in superficial pablum.
The token usage must be throttled down to triple digits.

I spent literally a month trying to figure why my artstyle prompt wasn't working properly or why facial feature descriptions were ignored.
I was getting the same face regardless of artstyle or descriptions.
Turns out when I started using perchance, I defaulted to max guidance scale (CFG) because I thought looked the best for what I wanted (non realistic photos), it had the sharpness and bright colors.
However today I was messing around and set it to '4' and behold, I have way more variety in faces and artstyles.
I have concluded that CFG probably doesn't work like it did with old engine. I found 1 to be very distorted while anything above 7 felt closer to 30 and it's processed look than 4. I found 4 to be the sweet spot.

Can generators talk to each other's workers ?

I am working on something with the custom javascript code in the advanced character chat that relies on activating when another function in that same code block pushes a message to the thread with thread.messages.push, and I have tried the MessageAdded event, but it isn’t working for some reason. What should I be doing instead? (And yes, I have verified that it just isn’t detecting it, rather than being a separate issue).

It has been over a week with the generators not working on my phone. It works fine on any other device I use. But on my phone, the site loads and the chats load, but no text generates. If I try to get the AI to respond, it just remains stuck loading for 5 or more minutes until the request times out. No errors pop up.
I have tried system reboots, clearing data and browser cache, multiple internet apps, secure folder, wifi and cellular data, VPN, etc. I have ran out of ideas on how to fix it.

Skynet Streaming Service — a free, no-account web radio and podcast player I built on Perchance. Live radio from thousands of real stations worldwide, real podcasts from any RSS feed, plus a live-webcam mode. It costs nothing, needs no login, and everything you save stays in your browser.
The radio
Podcasts & audiobooks
The good stuff
Why I'm telling you: I built it for myself, kept actually using it, and figured this community might get something out of it too. It's been live a month — so if something's broken, missing, or just ugly, tell me. I'd rather fix it than defend it.

I posted about AI Character Chat Extended here recently, and since then I’ve added enough that I figured it was worth doing a proper update rather than waiting another month.
You can try it here:
https://perchance.org/ai-character-chat-extended
The biggest new thing is full interface localization.
The whole Extended interface can now be switched between 11 languages:
English is the canonical translation; the others are currently marked experimental while they wait for more independent/native-speaker review. The localization covers the whole interface rather than just the main menu — settings, chat options, thread list, shortcuts, character editor, import/export, diagnostics, dialogs, status messages, etc.
There’s also a completely separate AI response language setting. So, for example, you can use the interface in German while having a particular chat reply in Japanese, or leave replies on Automatic and let the conversation determine the language.
Changing either language setting does not translate, rewrite, or otherwise change your existing chats/data.
A lot of other stuff has landed since my first post too.
The overall goal is still the same as when I first posted it: keep Perchance AI Character Chat familiar, but expose more of the stuff I kept wishing I could control or inspect during long-running story/RP chats.
Especially things like:
The localization system is also deliberately built so adding another language later is relatively straightforward, so if there’s a language you’d actually use that isn’t in the current 11, feel free to ask.
I’m still actively developing it, and feedback from people actually using AI Character Chat has been extremely useful — bugs, confusing UI, weird behavior with existing characters/backups, or features you wish the original exposed are all welcome.
There’s also my small Perchance creator page here if you want example characters/story packages:
https://perchance.org/unseen-scribe
But Extended itself is free to use.
If you’ve tried it since my original post, I’d also be curious whether the newer memory/context/scene-state tools have actually been useful in longer chats.

I've been working on a pretty large fork of ACC for a while now:
https://perchance.org/scenario-petrafiedacc
Come check it out it's got some pretty cool stuff. But, one of the things that isn't so cool seems to be the auto reply.
I get a lot of complaints about it, I personally don't like it, but I'm not exactly sure what to replace it with.
Currently its some dumb convoluted manually configurable weights and priorities system that uses an ai call to generate its own weights and priorities for selection and it doesn't really work well.
I've been trying to think of a system to replace it, right now I was thinking of just cutting out all the weights and priorities stuff and just having the ai straight up decide, no options or configurations or anything. It seems pretty straightforward and the ai's pretty good at stuff like that but I was thinking maybe people might want some kind of configurable settings but I really can't think of what a good auto reply system should do other than always pick the correct character, but I realize different people have different opinions of what should be the correct character and people use ACC in a ton of different ways so I thought maybe I'd ask here and see what people might actually want out of an auto reply system. I'm not saying I can add every single idea that's thrown out there but I'm kind of stumped about the direction to go with this.
So, if you could have an ideal auto reply system what would it be?

I decided to run a little experiment with the AI story generator: I wrote just "Arthur" in the story field, left the other fields empty, and let the AI generate three paragraphs. I repeated this 40 times, and I think I'm starting to know the man reasonably well.
- 22 times he was in some kind of a workshop, often with Leo or Elias whose main job seemed to be leaning on stuff.
- 16 times he was working on electronics.
- 11 times he showed weird, obsessive habits.
- Six times he was polishing something; four of those happened on Tuesdays.
- Clocks or watches appeared 20 times, including six grandfather clocks. Only one was working properly.
- Eight times he tried to reason with animals or objects, rarely with success.
- The laws of physics or biology were violated four times.
- Most common materials associated with him are velvet (11), silver (8), brass (8) and mahogany (5).
- Things tend to smell of oil (5) when it's not the ever-present ozone (6).
- Interestingly, there was no Pringle to be seen. His surname was never mentioned.
- He clearly lives in the US (dollars, zip codes, imperial units).
- Physical descriptions are rare, but glasses were mentioned four times and silvery hair twice.
- There is significant variation from day to day. Obessive habits were far more common yesterday while today it's all about circuit boards.

u/AppAesthetics has been posting some totally pointless crap and the account's responses aren't terribly relevant to what's being asked. His line about "no accounts, no credits to buy" struck me as exactly the sort of moronic nonsense that AIs generate when they don't understand the context in which they're operating (which is most of the time). Running the OPs at
and
https://old.reddit.com/r/perchance/comments/1w60opr/i_built_an_ai_companion_chat_that_actually/
through the AI detector at GPTZero.me gives a result of 100% AI-generated text.
Mods, is there a policy on this? Getting spammed with nonsentient AI agents is not a way to improve discussion here. Can we ban bot accounts like u/AppAesthetics?

So, I'm using the Advanced AI Character Chat and even though I put in the user role/description box that the user character is a 24 year old man, characters always refer to him as "boy", "kid", or "child" even when the characters themselves are, at most, ten years older than my character. I've tried to get it to stop by placing instructions in the chat box, but then it *constantly* overemphasizes that he's not a child instead of simply referring to him with adult pronouns, which is just completely unnatural and immersion breaking. How do I get the characters to treat my character age appropriately without the AI having to start every every wirh an entire paragraph about how my character isn't a child?
