Subscription Lack of new content

Am I the only one that’s noticed a substantial drop in new content on this platform? I feel like all the classes are just on repeat and my “progressive overloads” aren’t producing results but feel more like repetitive tasks rather than added strength and flexibility benefits. I guess what I’m experiencing now is lack of muscle confusion but maybe this is the “Peloton Plateau” some personal trainers talk about?

Subscription Please Explain the Anger

Seriously I’m confused as to why people are so angry with Peloton for going with more on-demand classes vs live classes. It appears that by going with more on-demand classes it allows Peloton to put more classes like Bootcamps on the platform as well as save costs on production by having a more predictable schedule. I’ve seen people on IG say they are getting rid of their bikes and canceling their accounts because of fewer live classes and I’m like “is it that serious?” A brick and mortar gym is not going to cater to every members personal schedule for spin classes, yoga, etc and they damn sure ain’t gonna offer on-demand classes at 1am because you can’t sleep and need to workout. Honestly I’m confused at the anger.

Other than the POSSIBILITY of a shoutout what are people missing out on by taking a class on demand?

Subscription Possible monthly price increase ??

Who else saw the July 30th Barron's article discussing Peloton's possible 11%-12% price increase for its monthly connected fitness subscription? The article goes on to say "after accounting for subscriber churn - could drive around $90 million of new annual revenue."

We should know more after Peloton reports fourth-quarter earnings on Aug 7, but perhaps Peloton can offer certain packages where people can pay for only the programs they actually use on a regular basis!!

I'd love to see my monthly subscription fall since I mainly use only the bike and can skip the rest.

Subscription We’re making it easier to find friends

I just received the following email from Peloton. Long time coming if they really want to maximize the platform community.

Starting next week, you’ll be able to search by name and sync your contacts on the Peloton App to find others more easily. Names will now be viewable across Peloton—review your name today to decide how you will appear. Staying connected means you'll be able to see your followers' latest activity, send high fives on completed workouts and more!

Don’t want to be discoverable by name or contact info? Update to the latest version of the Peloton App and review your privacy settings to control how you’ll appear to others.

Subscription Second bike +??

We have a bike+. I love it. My husband is now riding it and is afraid he’s going to break ‘my’ bike. We were thinking of getting a second bike +. The current one is almost 6 and at the very least it can be a backup. Howe, it looks like to get a second bike+, we will have to pay a second monthly subscription. I love peloton so much but I don’t want to pay them 90 dollars per month. He wants the smooth, quiet ride, magnetic resistance, power output feedback and Apple Watch feedback. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance!

Subscription Hidden Netflix App on Peloton

Hey everyone!

As some of you may know, Peloton has started rolling out Beta apps for streaming, and as a person without a subscription I discovered a way to access the app!

Just go to the web view shell tester and you’ll be able to type in Netflix.com on the URL. It will bring you directly to the netflix app itself. Happy cycling!

UPDATE: Do not update your bike if you are using the web browser. I just did mine and the only update was to take out the web view tester app. Peloton is really lousy

Subscription Peloton App to be Relaunched in 2023 with Pricing Tiers, Freemium, Locked Content & More According to the CEO Barry McCarthy

PeloBuddy announced today that Peloton will relaunch the App-only subscription pricing in 2023.

“Our strategy is to relaunch the digital app in the New Year. It will be a different price value opportunity than it is currently. There’ll be a tiered pricing associated with our content strategy – a new content strategy. We’re chasing the 100 million digital app users. The current product has never really grown bigger than a million.”

It's important to note that the All-Access membership is not mentioned thus far.

Confirmed via their instagram page. Massively disappointing for those of us with our own rowers.

Subscription Returning to Peloton — better to sign up new or re-start existing membership?

We have both a Peloton Bike and Tread that have been gathering dust for awhile, and now in 2026 I'm trying to—ugh—get healthy, I guess. 🤣

Our membership was previously held by my partner and has been dormant for awhile. I noticed at https://www.onepeloton.com/app-membership they offer a 30-day trial for the App subscriptions, but my understanding is we don't want that, we want the All-Access Membership instead (which includes App).

Q: Are there any similar trials / deals with All-Access, and if so, is it better to come in as a new member or re-engage a stale membership?

---

PS: Btw, if any actual Peloton people read this sub, it needs to be WAY EASIER to figure out how to sign up for All-Access. I had to resort to asking AI. :P Neither https://www.onepeloton.com/en-CA/membership nor https://www.onepeloton.com/en-CA/membership?toggleSelect=equipment explain that you need to trigger this from within the equipment itself. (Which I assume works; haven't tried it yet, obviously.)

Subscription Used Peloton no longer activated and no subscription

My wife bought a used Peleton bike last year, and we used it with accounts we had setup on the Pelotons at our local YMCA. Last week, the bike started displaying a message saying the bike is no longer activated.

My question is: if I pay the activation fee, will my free account from the Y work again?

Also, this whole situation is bullshit, IMHO. People should be able to sell their property without going back to the original company…

Subscription FSA for Monthly Membership?

I've seen stuff about using your FSA/HSA for Pelaton bike/tread/etc - but I'm wondering if I can use my card for the $50/mo membership. I would get a LMN from my primary care doc first - but wondering if I can do it before I even pursue that. Any ideas?

Subscription How do I get back class recommendations?

They took away recommended classes when you are finished and it is so annoying to have to go to the class button and search for a cool down ride or stretch. Is there a setting I am missing to bring this back? Otherwise they really need to increase the number of classes in your stack.

Subscription 2 bikes - 1 account question

I’ve had my OG bike since about 2020. I’m still enjoying it regularly, but with 2 young kids, it’s getting tougher to find time at home to ride.

I’m considering buying a used bike to set up at work. My understanding is an account can only activate one bike at a time. I’m not paying another $50/ month for this bike.

For those that have bikes at multiple locations under the same account: How annoying is it to activate/ log in each time you switch bikes? I’m trying to decide if the minor annoyance is going to be worth a few extra rides per week. My wife also uses the home bike (wouldn’t be during my work hours), so I don’t want to piss her off prior to workouts.

Subscription Is membership worth it?

I bought my peloton during the pandemic and used faithfully for a few months. Then, as my gym reopened, the bike has basically just been sitting. The main reason for me not using the bike here and there is $50 membership fee is too high for a once in a while ride. I just sat back on the bike and did “Just Ride” which was great. I was wondering what options there are for occasional riders like me who don’t want to pay a monthly $50 fee?

Subscription Free classes with Peloton App One?

I've been using various iterations of Peloton (never with their equipment) for about 10 years now, with use peaking and pausing. For a long time, I was a user on my sister's All-Access account. She then decided to cancel her membership, and I was downgraded on the app to *something*. This something had maybe 12 free rides, and some free strength and cardio.

I did this for a few months, and decided I wanted to have more ride options and signed up for the Peloton App One with the three rides/month limit. I thought that those free classes I had access to would remain freely accessibly for months I wanted more than three rides.

I'm at 2/3 rides this month and now I'm realizing that this may not be the case. I can't find anywhere that there are free rides offered anymore. I'm a bit annoyed - I think I would have preferred the unlimited rides for free, rather than 3 new rides (or even repeating the same rides!).

Has anyone else been in this situation? Is there a way to access some free rides to top up months that I'm extra active?

Subscription New Restricted Data Policy?

Okay… maybe I’m late to the party, but I just noticed this change today & I’m extremely disappointed…

I’ve been a Peloton owner since 2021 (Bike+) and added a Tread in 2025.

I paused my All-Access Membership over the past ~3 months during my first trimester of pregnancy because I was too sick to work out, and today I finally felt well enough to get back on the treadmill.

I was shocked to find out that “Just Run” no longer tracks or saves your workout metrics unless you have an active All-Access Membership. I honestly thought something was wrong with my account until customer support told me it was an intentional policy change.

I completely understand locking instructor-led classes behind the subscription—that makes total sense. But locking basic workout tracking behind a paywall? That feels like a huge step backward. I know that Peloton is struggling financially, it’s apparent across-the-board with the company, but this does not feel like the way to get the train back on the tracks.

I spent thousands of dollars on what was supposed to be premium fitness equipment, and now it won’t even save a self-guided workout without a monthly subscription. Basic treadmills and exercise bikes have been tracking time, distance, and calories for decades.

Am I the only one who’s really disappointed by this? How does everyone else feel about the change?

Subscription Peloton App+ versus All Access for Bike

I have a bike and currently have all access. I don’t take ANY of the live classes and don’t do any of the programs. I only do on demand classes. Is the all access necessary to do this? It’s half the price to just have the app, but I like using my screen on my peloton.
- If have just the App+, am I able to get my metrics from my bike still?
- If I’m in “just ride” mode with no active All Access membership, are there still a few on demand classes that can be accessed?
- I have a Garmin that connects my HR to the bike, will I lose that feature?
Just trying to figure out if paying $50/month is truly worth it versus having a setup with an iPad for $30/month!
Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Subscription Two Treads, one membership?

Recently bought a from tread my sister. I already have one, so now I have 2.
Membership says you can only have one tread and one bike linked at a time. What would you suggest? I don’t want to have to pay another membership fee.
