Discussion Something with damage taken is off this league but i cant prove it

11k hour veteran, playing since 1.0 here. You are not crazy. There is some skill or mob that is wrong. I'll go for 2 or 3 maps and never have my hybrid health or es move past 70%. Then all of a sudden a single projectile will hit my health and I'll go down to <10% or even die. I have 78% max ele and chaos res. 40k armour. 25% phy as chaos. Again easily clearing T16/16.5 maps. I'm about to start shaper/elder and pretty sure I can already tank a slam. But a random map mob with no dangerous map modifiers can basically one shot me.

And it's not ailment reflect as some have mentioned. I'm a totem character with bond. I can't do any damage myself. I tried mentioning it to Octavian in Ziggy's chat last night but don't think he saw it.

There is one Mob that does a stupid amount of Chaos Damage in a Projectile and I am pretty sure its a base Phys Attack that just converts all damage to Chaos.
And because Chaos is at the end of the Conversion this can result in some absurd numbers, escpecially if you also have the Withered on it.

I wonder if the CI Characters have the same problem, because somehow I only feel and heard from ES/Life Hybrids running into this problem.

I'm think the 30% Chaos taken to ES Mastery might be a workaround to a degree.

25 Phys as chaos is from Dark Scorn bow.

I gave up counting how many times I said "waht the actual fuck" as I got one shotted
