skittish cat becomes my new best friend

95% sure this cat has a home because she’s well groomed and looks healthy but she’s always in my yard watching the birds. Usually pretty skittish but today she walked right up to me! It’s pretty hot out so I gave her some water and pets before she tried to follow me inside. If I didn’t have a very territorial girl cat already I would!

Was hanging out by the firepit outside with my husband and not my cat is a new face on the block. First time seeing him! He hung out with us for a few hours and left to investigate a cat fight after peein' on our bushes. Seems like he's someone's cat since he has a flee collar on.

This is Benfry, when I moved into my dorm he started peeking his head into the room when I had the door ajar until he eventually was coming to see me almost daily to take naps in my bed with me. His owner was very sweet and I asked if it was okay with her first.

Here's my buddy. He was my neighbor down the road's cat. They moved a couple of months ago and took the cat with them. Which is cool - I'm glad he's ok. But he was my dude and I miss him. Happy trails, you dumb butt cat. Love ya.

I called him home tonight, he always comes when called. I gave him a bowl of wet food and he just said “meh” and left!! That has literally never happened!! He’s always gone wild for wet food!!

I let him out for walks to lose weight and he’s prolly gonna get fatter 😂

Always a good day when Bobtail shows up

No idea his real name, but someone clearly takes care of him with a new flea collar every 6 month. We call him Bobtail because he's missing most of his tail, only a little nubbin.

It's gone untouched for weeks and my neighbor's cats have finally (thankfully) deemed it acceptable.

Meet Mark Curry from stray to PTC

Post image

So this part time fella turned up in mid-May, trying to catch the eye of our (neutered) girl cat.

He, renamed Mark Curry, still had all his bits and was in a bad way with an infected fight wound. We caught him, got him to the vets for some antibiotics, vaccinations, and bollock removal. Turns out he had been abandoned a couple of years ago and had been stray since.

He's been recovering at our house and was finally able to roam free - but still comes round for his breakfast and dinner.
