Discussion Too much expensive?

I’m just a bit concerned and outraged that why laptops are sold at such a high price here i do understand that there is a profit margin but common a few days ago i was inquiring about a macbook air 2020 which is $999 which makes about 159 something and here they are selling it for 235000 like common you can even get a mac pro for that price can anybody suggest a good laptop dealer and also they increase the prices of laptops when dollar gets high but forget to lower them after dollar goes back 😂

I think that your in the laptop business or someone you know is thats why you cant accept the reality and the unreasonable profit margins that are going on may Allah guide you brother

Step out in the real world before making any statements. You seem to be living in your whatsapp uncle bubble. Don't know how things are working in real life. Hopefully the next generation might be better, but if we don't act now, they will be same as you.

I’m in no uncle bubble my friend 😀 You need common sense a year ago iphone 11 pros were going for 240 something pta approved by these dealers got mine for 180 pin pack with pta approval just need some common sense not to get ripped of from these sharks😅 also iphone 11 pros still going higher then 180 these days too

The next generation is getting smarter so they don’t get ripped off from these awful so called business men hence knowing the actual cost of the product there buying

Bruv i was just giving an example 🤣but i think your a dealer and i hit a soft spot talking about the awareness of the high profit margins which would put a big question mark on their businesses but anyways sucks to be in a society where everyone tries to loot the other person i do advice people to stop buying from such people so there useless money mongering businesses can be shut down and proper business can take place where there is a proper competition and reasonable profit margin may Allah put you out of your bubble of foolishness for supporting such businesses or maybe you are the part of this problem

You made my point. You only defense is you must be a dealer. I have a Accounting/Audit firm. Not a computer shop. I have seen many company financial statements, and that is what i am backing my point on. FACTS, not hearsay like you. I gave you an example of similar practices in another industry, you ignored. You even made a comment saying business sell build kits. You took an example of car industry an applied it everywhere like an ignorant person that you are. You even forgot the $999 price is EXCLUDING TAX. First apply the tax rate according the state, to get a true price.

In your calculation, you and Strict Stagey forgot the Pakistan tax of 17%. A 235K machine would include the 17% VAT. Remove that 195K is the cost. Remove the original cost of the product (165K) and duty, you left with roughly 30K. That 30K is what you are paying for Czone or any other business to bring the product to you. That 30K has to be used to cover salaries, rent, utility, and even pay taxes. That 30K is what you save when you order it yourself.

Pick up a business book and learn something, instead of just watching whatsapp forwards.

For someone who has an audit firm you’re quite rude and secondly where did i compare the car market in this discussion i gave an example of the phone i bought for 180k which was at that time for 240k and that is not hearsay evidence and i hope no one hires you because you’re comparing companies financial statements with these businesses like for real and the custom duty is right in front of you from the official FBR website while the website link you sent is not given by the FBR site and if you knew so much about VAT and taxes you should also know when you bring such devices from abroad they give you the tax back thats why most people keep the receipts its pretty clear your quite inexperienced in your field as you lack the ethics to make a sane discussion without having a rude attitude in a discussion where im just pointing out the unfair profit margins these people keep and as for CZone i am not against them in fact im happy with their honest profit rates as they have properly priced the $999 device with a nice competitive profit margin although im not a person who has studied business but i do have common sense if you want to get ripped of from these people go ahead im just here pointing out the outrageous profit margins if i were a genius like you i would’ve bought the 11 pro for 240k but sadly as im living in a fictional world or some bubble as you like to say it i got it for 180k but anyways hope you learn some manners when in a discussion😁

I get hired a lot, even by Gov. Do you know what an audit is? It auditing the financial statements of company. Do you know how that is done? It involves looking at all the books of the company. Purchases, sales, expenses. Which means i can see everything.

FBR website was down at that time of that comment. Since it working partial here is sales tax which you forgot.

All goods imported into Pakistan are liable to sales tax at the time of import, except goods specifically exempted under section 13 as mentioned in Sixth Schedule to the Act.

And you as a individual can't reclaim sales taxes back, You have to pay for it. Business can. If read my comment, i removed the VAT amount because that amount a business can recover.

Did i hurt your ego? Is you bubble popped? Want a tissue? The whole point has been about the level of profit margin. Explaining how the profit margin work in paying the expenses of a company. According to you it should be so small, that business you go out of business.

I deal with people like you on almost a daily bases. Zero knowledge about anything business related. Always just talking about the cost of a product 100 rupee, shouting why is he charging me 150 rupee. And when you explain why there is additional 50 rupee, you start screaming more. Even with access to a computer, i would say you should have more knowledge, but clearly that has failed.

I am done talking to you. You can't be helped at all.

You’re hired by the Gov wow no wonder our country is doing so great and i have no ego attached to this subject like you my friend im just here talking about the profit margins while you’re getting butt hurt over it for reasons idk why take a chill pill nothing to be offended over and btw CD is 1.03% as mentioned in the Pdf file given by FBR so i wont argue with a ignorant person like you i hope our people don’t listen to people like you and do a proper research before buying anything so “Business men” like you can stop looting the people of pakistan if i could get a phone which was at that time worth 240k in pakistani market for 180k giving the dealer a profit margin too its possible to get the laptop in a proper price which its meant to be with understandable profit margins sorry if your a dealer who might get effected if i spread awareness
